Story
! FOSTER/FOSTER TO ADOPT/ADOPTER IN NEED! additional info from our shelter friends!! Sweet Louisa is a 4-year-old, 13-pound girl with a gentle heart. She is heartworm negative. Louisa is very friendly with both people and other dogs, but she's naturally a little shy when meeting new people. Once she feels comfortable, she's incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle. With her calm personality, she'd likely thrive in a quieter home or with older children who can give her the patience she needs to settle in. She is very housebroken, crate trained and goes in her crate to rest open door policy.. Has a great appetite, likes to play with toys. Good with other dogs, but does not really play with them! Has an inquisitive nature, likes to explore and like other doxies likes to dig! Needs a little work on the leash but she will follow you anywhere and is very food motivated.. She may make a good scent work girlie!! PUPDATE!! Louisa has opened waaaaay up!! This girl is an avid hunter! Its her passion! She will need a fenced yard, nice and secure or she will be trolling the neighborhood for lizards after she catches all yours! She is a snuggler, yes, and calm in the house. Walks well on lead. Loves to sleep on the bed. She will need to be in a fairly active home, where she can participate in hiking, going to events, kayaking, running partner OR better yet, barn hunt, scent work, lure coursing or agility. She is a very smart girl and will need engagement and enrichment in her life. Currently fostered in Bradenton. Two walks a day, and a stroller will not fit this gals lifestyle! She will be fun with the right person!!!!

Story
Little 13 pd Bunny is a sweet senior chi who was found as a stray!! She is getting along fine with all her canine friends in her foster home, she really doesnt play with anyone but coexists nicely! Loves to go for walks, totally housebroken, leash broke, crate trained. Loves the lap, loves to be with you. belly rubs are a plus!!!! She is quiet loves to be loved on and will be your constant companion. She does like to explore the yard a little , but otherwise remains at your side.. Bunny has an enlarged heart, and is on cardiac meds and responding very well. A resolving UTI is on its way out, and her blood work came back fine. She is chipped, had her shots, spayed and hw negative. Now she is just waiting for that forever home. She can live with or without other dogs, cats are untested, but I dont think she will care. She will not require a fenced yard, but will need a caring senior couple or a moderately active couple that can give her several walks a day. Yes, Bunny is a little overweight and needs some exercise and portion control to lose about 3 pounds or so. Her cardiac meds are running about 60 $ for a little over a month, just so you have an idea. She will be a great little companion for someone!! Currently fostered in Bradenton Fl..

Nicholas; Nicky; Nic-Nic; Nicker doodle; The Nickster! Your Perfect Little Shadow ❤️ now living in Gainesville, FL. Come meet this sweet little man and see for yourself! Nicholas is a healthy chi-terrier? mix. Almost 17 lbs and 8 yrs young. Don't be fooled by his age, this boy isn't looking for a casual stroll when he is out on the street - He's sniffing and exploring at a trot or a run, if you can keep up! He is ready to spend the rest of his life in a loving home with someone to cherish him, but there's no doubt, he's ready to go if you are! He’s lived happily with other small dogs and does well with respectful canine companions, but he’s not interested in wrestling matches or puppy antics. Nicholas prefers a peaceful home where he can relax, feel safe, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. He's great in his crate; quiet and clean, with excellent house manners. Sleeping all night in his bed next to our dog and has been respectful of his senior housemate. Needs a little leash work but only because he wants to explore all this big, new world outside of the shelter! Now accepting applications to adopt or maybe you would prefer to foster-to-adopt. Please fill out an application at: https://www.ewenityfarmsbch.com/adopt-foster-to-adopt-form Nicholas is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, has a microchip, and best of all, is heartworm negative.

Story
This lil 14 pd chi mix came from a hoarding situation on the east coast of Florida. She is unsocialized, needs a quiet home, is not aggressive to people. She just needs time. allowing for decompression is very important. Right now an airline crate is her safe space. She has made no attempt to bite just wants to be as small as possible. Fostered in Bradenton. Someone who has experience with hoarding dogs, fearful dogs will be good for this girl. Must have a fenced yard, and another calm dog, not in your face type of dog. We have made some progress 3/7!! Brown is taking food from my hand and will approach you for more!!! She is intimidated by other dogs that are in her face and will stay on the outer circle. Once you have her alone she will approach and take food and actually allow petting. She needs a lot more one on one. She has a habit of spinning in the crate when being fed. Not so concerned about that, it should go away in time. it does not prevent her from eating and she has a good appetite!! Brown needs a very patient foster maybe one other dog. She does crate well prefers an airline crate, She is housebroken and uses a dog door! She needs to learn to walk on lead, get used to being touched, and to trust people. She is a special needs and a project dog. I know there are not many of you out there, but inside this lil gal is a gem of a dog once you win her over. Currently fostered in Bradenton.

Story
Chico is 15 years young and looking for his forever home to live out the rest of his retirement. He is very friendly to people and tolerates other dogs as long as then do not get in his space. Chico loves small comfy beds and exploring around the house to see if he can find any food crumbs. He is partially house trained. He will take care of business if left outside for a few minutes. Chico is not a toy player. He enjoys riding in the car in his bed. Chico is a dog who will thrive with a patient adopter willing to give him a little adjustment time. He is not a clingy dog but likes to lay on the sofa next to people. Chico will do best as an only dog.
