Lily is a high energy and high drive dog. She is shy at first but warms up quickly and turns into a total sweetheart. She LOVES to play fetch. She would also make a wonderful little sport dog for someone looking. She can be spicy with other dogs if they get in her space but is otherwise great with them. Included in this fee is also life- long group training support provided by PLAY! K9 Academy located in Bradenton, FL as well as Life time microchip registration. When you adopt from a local shelter, you may not receive any medical history for this dog nor will you receive any behavioral history. Nicholas is a healthy chi-terrier? mix. Almost 17 lbs and 8 yrs young. Don't be fooled by his age, this boy isn't looking for a casual stroll when he is out on the street - He's sniffing and exploring at a trot or a run, if you can keep up! He is ready to spend the rest of his life in a loving home with someone to cherish him, but there's no doubt, he's ready to go if you are! He’s lived happily with other small dogs and does well with respectful canine companions, but he’s not interested in wrestling matches or puppy antics. Nicholas prefers a peaceful home where he can relax, feel safe, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. He's great in his crate; quiet and clean, with excellent house manners. Sleeping all night in his bed next to our dog and has been respectful of his senior housemate. Needs a little leash work but only because he wants to explore all this big, new world outside of the shelter! Now accepting applications to adopt or maybe you would prefer to foster-to-adopt. Hen is a lovely girl that was in a confiscation situation. We have had her in the rescue for now 2 year!!! She has come a LONG way and is doing great!!! She LOVES other dogs, plays well with them and once she knows you she is super affectionate. I think she will always have a cautious streak in her, from her past, but she is brave and manages to overcome her blocks!! It took us three months for her to come out of her crate and come willingly to us. Now once she knows you she wants to be with you all the time! She is so much better about being picked up, we practice that at home all the time, she does tolerate it. Totally housebroke, crate trained and yes we are still working on the leash. But it is only going forward. She is a funny girl. Loves to play with toys, and does zoomies in the yard. Rides well in the car in the front seat. She tolerates the vet and just goes limp in situations she is uncomfortable in. With more exposure, socialization and group classes she will only improve. She is a project dog, but will give you her whole heart and soul. Will eventually make a great companion dog, right now she prefers the comfort of her home environ, with added dashes of the new world! Will need a fenced yard, and most importantly another kind playful dog to hang with and be her best friend! She loves to run and would eventually make an awesome agility dog, She has been started in scentwork and does seem to like it. Scent work is very good for confidence building. She has been to classes, not as a participant but hanging out to get exposure. Eventually she will make it into class, she is doing so much better than before!! Fostered in Bradenton. Will need an adopter or anotehr long term foster who has knowledge of dog behaviour, and lots of patience and love.. This girl only wants to please, and with your help can conquer all those past fears. Make her future a safe and beautiful place!!! Its time to get her into another home with different people and experiences!! Can you help her????

Chico is 15 years young and looking for his forever home to live out the rest of his retirement. He is very friendly to people and tolerates other dogs as long as then do not get in his space. Chico loves small comfy beds and exploring around the house to see if he can find any food crumbs. He is partially house trained. He will take care of business if left outside for a few minutes. Chico is not a toy player. He enjoys riding in the car in his bed. Chico is a dog who will thrive with a patient adopter willing to give him a little adjustment time. He is not a clingy dog but likes to lay on the sofa next to people. Chico will do best as an only dog.

This lil 14 pd chi mix came from a hoarding situation on the east coast of Florida. She is unsocialized, needs a quiet home, is not aggressive to people. She just needs time. allowing for decompression is very important. Right now an airline crate is her safe space. She has made no attempt to bite just wants to be as small as possible. Fostered in Bradenton. Someone who has experience with hoarding dogs, fearful dogs will be good for this girl. Must have a fenced yard, and another calm dog, not in your face type of dog. We have made some progress 3/7!! Brown is taking food from my hand and will approach you for more!!! She is intimidated by other dogs that are in her face and will stay on the outer circle. Once you have her alone she will approach and take food and actually allow petting. She needs a lot more one on one. She has a habit of spinning in the crate when being fed. Not so concerned about that, it should go away in time. it does not prevent her from eating and she has a good appetite!! Brown needs a very patient foster maybe one other dog. She does crate well prefers an airline crate, She is housebroken and uses a dog door! She needs to learn to walk on lead, get used to being touched, and to trust people. She is a special needs and a project dog. I know there are not many of you out there, but inside this lil gal is a gem of a dog once you win her over. Currently fostered in Bradenton. The trip to the vets was good!! We were able to hold her, pet her , get a collar on her. With time and a lot more of touching and petting she will be fine!! She doesnt like a lot of dogs around her so she would do so much better in a home with less dogs, and come around much faster!! She is a happy joyous soul, we would really love to see her blossom in that special home!!

Unfortunately he doesn’t seems to get along with my child and my work schedule has gotten pretty hectic too. But he is a sweet dog and very playful when it one on one.
