Please visit our website for more information on the adoption process and to complete an adoption application. https://www.pawliferescuegroup.org/adoption-resources Meet Henry — The Ultimate Snuggle Companion Henry is the definition of sweet and soulful. This gentle, easygoing boy is happiest when he’s curled up in your lap or tucked beside you on the couch, soaking up all the love you’re willing to give. His soft puppy-dog eyes have a way of melting hearts in seconds — and he knows just how to use them! While Henry adores playtime outdoors and romping around with his siblings, he’s never far from his people. After a bit of fun, he’ll come trotting back for reassurance, cuddles, and maybe a belly rub or two. He’s beautifully crate-trained, rides calmly in the car, and brings a peaceful, loving presence wherever he goes. Henry would thrive in a home with another dog to be his built-in best friend — someone to share adventures, games, and cozy naps. If you’re searching for a loyal, affectionate pup who will be your constant companion and devoted shadow, Henry is ready to fill your home (and your lap) with love. Best guess at breed. Located in Pinellas County, Florida.

Story
Buddy loves toys, and can easily be distracted from doing something you don’t want him to do, if he's offered a toy. Buddy loves to play with his brother,Toby, who he's currently being fostered with. They love to play, and will chase and wrestle with one another for hours. When they’re ready for a break, they’ll come up onto the couch and take a nap. They both like to snuggle. They love going in their crates, because they know that means they’re going to get a high value treat (beef liver—they love it!). We have their crates in our bedroom (covered with a towel), and they sleep 8-9 hours with no issues. We make sure they potty right before going to bed. We have a sound machine that we leave on (near their crates) at night and when they’re in their crates when we’re away during the day. Buddy is doing great with alerting that he has to go potty. We take them out the same door each time, so he goes to that door and either sits beside it or rings the bells that are hanging on the door knob. Buddy usually pees twice when he goes out. It’s like he doesn’t quite get it all out on the first one, so we wait and make sure he goes a second time before heading inside. Even though we have a fully fenced yard, we always take them out on a leash. This helps us to keep control of them and keep them more focused. We also say “Go Potty” about a million times, and give lots of praise (and treats) when they actually go. We have not used pee pads in the house, because as soon as one was put one down, they tried to eat it. They do fine in the car. We put a crate in the car, and that’s how they ride. Putting a towel over the top of the crate keeps them from barking at people in neighboring cars. 🙂 They have been eating twice a day…once around 8 a.m., and then again at around 5 p.m. If they don’t eat all of their breakfast, I will put it back down around noon for them to eat. Buddy eats a heaping one cup scoop. They love ice cubes! They definitely enjoy lick mats. We’ve tried roasted mashed sweet potato, peanut butter, and canned pate style dog food. We spread the treat on the mat, then freeze them, because it takes them longer to eat them. We’ve trimmed their nails a couple of times, and they did really well. They both sit on command, especially if a treat is involved. We typically have some music playing in the background, and that seems to help distract from most outside noises that might make them bark. These adorable boys are ready for their forever homes! Small in size but overflowing with personality—that's the Chihuahua way! 💕 I'm a happy, playful puppy who is discovering the world one adventure at a time. Whether I'm chasing toys, snuggling up for a nap, or following my favorite people around, I'm always ready to bring smiles and love wherever I go. Like all puppies, I'm still learning the basics! I'll need a family who is patient and committed to helping me with house training, crate training, leash walking, and good manners. Positive reinforcement, consistency, and plenty of love will help me grow into a confident, well-mannered companion. I enjoy playtime, cozy blankets, yummy treats, and lots of cuddles. Once I've burned off my puppy energy, I'm happiest curled up in your lap or nestled beside you for a nap. If you're looking for a tiny best friend with a huge heart, I just might be the perfect addition to your family!
