Story
OTHER PETS: Brisket has been mostly indifferent when meeting other dogs here at TJO, but he is comfortable and relaxed when greeting. While he hasn't exhibited much desire to play, he's happy to co-exist around other dogs. He has given appropriate feedback to more pushy dogs, and will likely do best in a home with another neutral dog. [Case-By-Case (Must Meet First)]OWNER EXPERIENCE: Brisket is a fairly low-key and independent little dog, and isn't afraid to make his opinions known! He's a bit of a barker, though, and likely won't be a good fit in an apartment. Experience with positive reinforcement, or willingness to learn.[First Dog]KIDS: Brisket has been tolerant for handling and hasn't shown any signs of resource guarding while at TJO, but because of his foot he would likely do best around kids that are able to understand how to interact with him and when to let him have his own space. [7+ / Dog Savvy (Must Meet First)]ACTIVITY LEVEL:Brisket is a fairly independent little guy, and is happy to explore his environment for as long as he's able. That doesn't mean he'd turn his nose up at a soft, warm bed though! An appropriate level of exercise combined with mental enrichment such as food puzzles and games will meet his needs.[Couch Potato]VETERINARY CARE: Brisket is currently working on losing a few pounds, and has a deformity of his right front paw. While his paw doesn't seem to be painful, he will likely need a good relationship with a vet to ensure that he remains comfortable and healthy. [Above Average]LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive reinforcement training will help Brisket not only learn his basic cues & skills, but also help him to bond with his new owner as well! [Minimal]GROOMING:Routine brushing will help to minimize shedding in the home. [Minimal]February 25, 2026, 5:32 pm

Story
Meet Squish  They call me Squish… and honestly? It fits. I’m tiny. I’m soft. I’m very portable. And I am accepting applications for the very important role of “My Forever Human.” I’m just 2 months old, which basically makes me a professional baby. The nice people who found me think I might be some kind of chihuahua mix — but truly, your guess is as good as ours. I’m small right now (like, scoop-me-up-with-one-arm small), but how big will I get? A purse dog? A medium mystery? A 60-pound plot twist? Only time will tell. What I *do* know is this: I’m fixed, I’m heading north soon, and I’m ready to start my main character era. I’m looking for a family who will help me build my confidence, teach me all the important life skills (like potty training and how not to chew your phone charger), and remind me daily that I am, in fact, the best girl. As a certified Tiny Baby™, I’ll need patience, training, structure, and lots of love. In return, I promise wiggly greetings, questionable zoomies, and the kind of loyalty only a small-but-mighty sidekick can provide. If you’re ready for a little mystery, a lot of cute, and a lifelong best friend in a compact package… Squish is ready to squish her way right into your heart.  MA license #0092  ##2665389##

If you would like to apply to take DIESEL home, click the link next to their picture, or Visit our website at Www.godogsgorescue.org and fill out an application! We look forward to hearing from you. This little one came from a hoarding situation, we are estimating to be somewhere between 1-2 years old. Being taken out of that situation when it’s all you’ve ever known is a bit of an adjustment, they have just gone into foster homes, and with patience they have come out of their shells and are adjusting well, into a normal life. None of the dogs were nippy, just nervous. With this in mind we would recommend no small children or hectic households. They are all used to other dogs and a confident doggy companion in the home would be great. This little one has made great progress since joining us, showing much more affection and we can tell feeling generally happier now than when they first got to us. Little shy still? Yes , but making great progress!
