Rufus is a 1-year-old chihuahua mix with a beautiful tan and white coat, including cute little white socks, and big, soulful puppy dog eyes. At just 16 lbs., he is a small pup. But do not let his size deceive you; he has a big, beautiful personality!Rufus loves people and would be a great lap dog. He loves attention and scratches! With his medium energy levels, he would enjoy both couch cuddles and playtime. Rufus also enjoys playing with his pup friends and gets along with kids too. However, he has not yet had a chance to meet a cat. Rufus was rescued from a hoarding situation along with several other pups. He is so happy to have this opportunity at a new life with a loving family! Because of his past, he has a shy demeanor but is working on coming out of his shell. Time and patience will be the key to building his confidence. Rufus is working hard on all of his training, including his house, crate, and leash training. He cannot wait to show you his progress and willingness to learn new skills. The perfect family for Rufus will welcome him with open arms and will patiently commit the time required to ensure he gets proper training, lots of socialization, plenty of play and exercise, and all of the love!
