I was found on a rural back road in Tennessee and I just think that somehow my owners were misguided in dropping me off in the middle of nowhere. They didn’t explain but I think it was financial problems. But apparently the vet says that I am an adorable 8-year-old cream-coloredPug/Chihuahua boy with a heart of gold! I really don’t weigh much at all and the scales at the vet said 13 pounds. What I can say is that I am a strong and “bounce back “ boy that is ready to make your life happier and more loving with me by y our side. But listen up. I may be 8 years old, but I have a whole lot of energy to spare and so “senior” movements are not what I am all about at all. I can have the zoomies like the best of the youngsters out there. Silver Sam is 5 years old and weighs 12 pounds. Part of a big hoarding case, he was taken to the shelter and there he sat for a few months. Critter Cavalry Rescue could not stand the thought that he was in that out of the way shelter where no one comes to adopt a dog. We pulled 7 dogs from that hoarding case and some had been there for 6 months. Sam is a hoot as they say. He is funny and active and must be watched if in a chain link fenced yard. He might find an escape route and take off just for the fun of it. He doesn’t go far but he sure does love the chase. He is good with other dogs and he is full of antics with the cats. He is almost housebroken and he is just the most loving lap dog ever. Such a great smile and attitude despite some terrible conditions in his previous life. He is with someone that loves the Chihuahua breed and understands all the little quirks. He really has not bad habits except the fun of occasionally making a run for it just to see you panic. My name is Gina Davis and I am a really exceptional Chiweenie girl that 3 months ago gave birth to some beautiful babies who have all recently been adopted. I was part of an overcrowding situation in a home and I had just given birth to my precious babies. Critter Cavalry Rescue took me from the shelter that took me out of the bad conditions and has helped me raise my babies. Now it is my time to have my place in the sun that is all my own. I was said to be 6 years old (a guess) but my foster mom said I have the vibrance and youth of a 3-4 year old dog. I am 20 pounds and I recently came to live in a city setting with a new foster. I was once a country girl but my foster mom said that I have adjusted quickly and so well to sidewalk walks and all the noises and sights of the city life not bothering me at all. I am living with two Pugs and we all get along famously. I love to snuggle on the couch and to sleep under the covers with my foster mom at night. I love to burrow like the combination of Dachshund and Chihuahua breeds that I am. My foster mom says that I am the happiest and most even tempered dog ever. I am nice to everyone and I wag my tail like crazy all time as I meet so many new people. I really get excited when my foster mom says it is time to go for a walk. He only weighs 16 pounds and the vet has guestimated his age to be 2 years old. RIO was dumped at an elementary school of which my girlfriend is a teacher. She called me that people had just dumped him. RIO came into my home with the best manners, quiet and obedient. He sticks really close to me but does not get in the way. 2 of the male foster dogs bark at him but he does not react, he retreats and ignores them. RIO does not have a bad bone in his body, no aggression anywhere. He is housetrained and pottytrained. He hates going into the crate which I use sparingly. I put him in the crate yesterday to take him to be neutered and he had a fit. He really is trustworthy around the house when I am gone. RIO likes to cuddle with me while I am watching TV on the couch. He walks very well on the leash without pulling and rides in the car without getting sick.
