Story
Toby is a 3 year old chihuahua with a big personality and an even bigger love for his people. He adores adults and is a total cuddle bug, happiest curled up in your lap. When he gets excited, he does an adorable little dance that’s sure to make you smile. He enjoys going for walks and being out and about with his favorite person. Story
If you would like to apply to take MURPHY home, click the link next to their picture, or Visit our website at Www.godogsgorescue.org and fill out an application! We look forward to hearing from you. This little one came from a hoarding situation, we are estimating to be somewhere between 1-2 years old. Being taken out of that situation when it’s all you’ve ever known is a bit of an adjustment, they have just gone into foster homes, and with patience and a bit of time we are confident they can adjust into a normal life. None of the dogs were nippy, just nervous. With this in mind we would recommend no small children or hectic households. They are all used to other dogs and a confident doggy companion in the home would be great. Apply now will be available to go home mid February.

Story
If you would like to apply to take ARIEL home, click the link next to their picture, or Visit our website at Www.godogsgorescue.org and fill out an application! We look forward to hearing from you. Aurora is around 3-4 years old and Ariel is around 1-2 years old, they could even be mother and daughter. They both came from a hoarder situation and haven’t seen much of the world until now, both are a little shy but learning to trust and adjust to new experiences. We are looking for a quiet home for them, no young kids or busy noisy households, they could be adopted together or separately, but both seem to do better in the company of another dog. Aurora is slightly more shy than Ariel.

Meet Firefly, a gentle little soul with a heart that shines bright. This sweet 6-year-old Chihuahua mix was found as a stray and is now looking for her next chapter with a loving family to call her own.Firefly has a lovely tan and white short coat and expressive brown eyes. She is fully grown at 13 pounds, making her a small dog who loves to cuddle. Firefly is good with other dogs and does well with kids. She has not yet had the opportunity to interact with cats since coming into rescue, so her cat compatibility is currently unknown. Firefly tends to be on the shy side when meeting new people but after a bit of time, she will come around and show off her friendly and affectionate side. As a bit of an older girl, Firefly offers the kind of love that only comes with time with steady, gentle, and deeply loyal. She is happiest soaking up the warmth of the sun, resting in a warm lap, and sharing quiet moments with her person. All she is looking for is love, comfort, and a place where she can finally feel at home. She would be a beautiful match for anyone longing for a devoted companion who already knows how to be a wonderful dog.She walks well on a leash, especially when accompanied by another dog. Story
Meet Tyler 2–3 years old | 15 lbs | Arriving in Morristown, NJ on December 28th Tyler is a quiet, gentle pup who has already come a long way — and now he's ready to take the next step toward the loving home he deserves. He was rescued by The Sato Project from a heartbreaking hoarding case in Manatí, Puerto Rico, where he lived in a small home with more than 30 other dogs. After such a tough beginning, Tyler is now healthy and preparing to fly to Morristown, NJ, where he hopes a kind, patient family will be waiting to welcome him. Tyler is shy and timid, especially in new situations, but there’s a softness in him that shines through. With time, consistency, and gentle love, he will begin to trust and show his true personality — a quiet companion who just wants to feel safe. He would do best in a calm, understanding home, possibly with another gentle dog to help guide him. He doesn't need much — just someone who will give him space, patience, and the love he's never truly known. If you're the kind of person who finds beauty in helping a shy dog feel brave, Tyler may be your perfect match. To Adopt: Fill out an application at thesatoproject.org/applicationform. Questions? Email us at adoption@thesatoproject.org About The Sato Project: The Sato Project has been working hard since 2011 to rescue and rehabilitate the stray dogs of Puerto Rico, known locally as “satos.” To date, we’ve saved over 8,000 dogs and are committed to stopping the overpopulation crisis with spay/neuter and vaccination programs. Your adoption helps us continue this vital work.
