Toby is a 3 year old chihuahua with a big personality and an even bigger love for his people. He adores adults and is a total cuddle bug, happiest curled up in your lap. When he gets excited, he does an adorable little dance that’s sure to make you smile. He enjoys going for walks and being out and about with his favorite person. Toby has lived with large dogs but can be rude and bossy, so any canine companion would need to tolerate his attitude. He does not like children and needs an adult-only home. Toby is ready to be someone’s devoted little sidekick. Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter. This little one came from a hoarding situation, we are estimating to be somewhere between 1-2 years old. Being taken out of that situation when it’s all you’ve ever known is a bit of an adjustment, they have just gone into foster homes, and with patience and a bit of time we are confident they can adjust into a normal life. None of the dogs were nippy, just nervous. With this in mind we would recommend no small children or hectic households. They are all used to other dogs and a confident doggy companion in the home would be great. Apply now will be available to go home mid February.

Aurora is around 3-4 years old and Ariel is around 1-2 years old, they could even be mother and daughter. They both came from a hoarder situation and haven’t seen much of the world until now, both are a little shy but learning to trust and adjust to new experiences. We are looking for a quiet home for them, no young kids or busy noisy households, they could be adopted together or separately, but both seem to do better in the company of another dog. Aurora is slightly more shy than Ariel.
