Story
Hi!  My name is Corine and I am looking for a forever home.  I along with two of my friends were taken to a really scary place called an animal shelter by our previous owner who said they couldn't take care of us any longer.  As owner surrenders going into an over-crowded shelter, we were placed on something bad called "the list".  Fortunately for us, a volunteer that came to the shelter saw us, contacted BCAA to see if they could help us, and when they said yes, got us out of there before anything bad could happen to us.  We were all a little scared when we first got to our foster, but everyone was so nice to us we started coming out of our shells real quick.  My friends have have been adopted and they say it's now my turn.  I appear to be a long-legged chihuahua mix with a beautiful white coat and dalmation-like spots on my ears; my foster mom says I'm super cute and have a personality to match as I love to be with you and get lots of loving and treats.  I weigh around 15lbs and at about 18 months old, I shouldn't get any bigger.  I have gotten along with the other small dogs I have met and haven't bothered those things called cats.  I have done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bedding.  I never had a leash on before so it scares me and I will need work learning about it, so in the meanwhile I will need a fenced yard in order to take care of my business.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
Hi!  My name is Silver and I am looking for a forever home.  I am one of several dogs that were surrendered to a small rescue after our owner had to go into assisted living and was unable to keep any of us.  A volunteer with that rescue contacted BCAA to see if they could help us and they said yes ... yeah!.  We are a collection of dogs that she has rescued over the years and we were all pretty scared when we first came into foster, but everyone has been so nice and patient with us that we are all coming out of our shells; my foster mom says I've done really good and now come to her when she calls and love getting attention and treats.  I am a small chihuahua mix at a little over 11lbs, and while I'm guesstimated to be around 8 years old, don't let my age and "sugar" on my face fool you as I have lots of spunk and act much younger than I look.  I have gotten along with all of the other small dogs I have met but not so good with cats so I will need a home without them.  I was so scared when I first came in that I was being picky about eating, but now that I'm more comfortable I love breakfast and dinner as well as getting treats which I take gently.  I have done well in my crate which I share with one of my friends without any accidents, barking, tearing up of bedding or any issues with eating side-by-side.  I'm not so good on leash as my previous owner said she never had me on one so I will need a fenced yard in order to take care of my business.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application!
