Stella was surrendered to a shelter in South Carolina, and it is hard to imagine how a little senior girl with such a gentle heart found herself in that situation. At 10 years old, Stella should be spending her days surrounded by comfort, kindness, and a family who will cherish her and that is exactly the kind of forever home we hope is waiting for her. Stella is a shy, tender-hearted girl who takes a little time to feel comfortable. She may not be the first one to rush up and greet you, but once she feels safe, she has the sweetest way of showing you just how much she appreciates being loved. She absolutely adores being close to her person, and there is nothing quite like having Stella curl up in your lap and peacefully fall asleep. She is a natural little cuddle companion who would happily spend her days snuggled up beside someone she trusts. She is doing well with both her house training and crate training, and she is making wonderful progress as she adjusts to her new life. Stella is learning that the world can be a safe and happy place, and one of the most heartwarming things about her is that she is beginning to play.
