Read about our adoption process on our website.Say hello to Garnett - also known as 'Nettie'! This old gal was found as a stray. She was in very poor shape and it is clear that she had many litters of puppies. Over the next few weeks Nettie underwent a number of diagnostics and treatments to help make her golden years as happy and comfortable as possible! She would do best in a home with a single person or a couple that is looking for a low-key pup to add to their family. Nettie will need someone who will be patient and allow her to open up. She isn't particularly affectionate or cuddly but this may develop as she builds a bond with her future family. Nettie is an easy-going gal and is happy to sleep most of the day. She has been known to snap at people/other dogs when enjoying chew treats. She does not like being picked up or held and is happiest snuggled under a blanket.Adoption fee: $350Name: Garnett (aka Nettie)Breed: Chihuahua mix Age: Senior (listed as 12 years) Weight: ~11lbSex: Female, spayedMedical: Heartworm positive, undergoing slow-kill treatment; anaplasmosis positive, chronic dermatitis, dental with 7 extractions, mild shoulder degenerative joint disease, 3 malignant mammory tumours removed Good with men: YesGood with women: Yes Good with kids 0-6: No, not good with small childrenGood with kids 7-15: Yes, When the dog meets new people she...Approaches cautiously, Approaches happily/outgoing, Happy tail wag, ShyGood with dogs: Yes, happy to co-exist with other dogsHow does this dog react to meeting new dogs? 🖤FOSTER-TO-ADOPT ROCKY🖤 M | 9Y | 3.1 KG | Chihuahua | Neutered | Dog tested | Cat tested | Kid tested | Low to medium energy | Fostered in Toronto   When you're stuck between a rock and a hard place, we say choose our friend Rocky because he will bring absolute joy to your life! Our fantastic little cuddly-bunny has physical touch as his love language. Whether that be some pats, lap-time or classic 1-on-1 time with his loved ones, you will melt his heart just as he will melt yours! Into the outdoors we go! Rocky is all for his walks. When he is not taking a good stroll, he is kicking back, relaxing, and lounging in the sweet outdoors. Time to play? You had him at play! Fetch is his strong suit, so don’t be surprised when he challenges you to a good game! Rocky has been around other dogs and does quite well with structure & proper introductions. Rocky has hung out with some children before and became vocal when the kids were getting too out of hand. Our sweet boy does have a feline-foster sibling who he doesn’t pay much mind to. His future family will have to add extra love and patience to allow Rocky to truly form meaningful connections. Rocky is our loyal, adorable little boy who is excited to share his love of life with his forever family! Could that be you?
