I found her behind a Target near my work and took her home. She is about a year and a half old. She had a rabies vaccination in January of 2024 so she will need another one soon. We are moving in May to a residence that does not allow any pets. She just had puppies today (3/6/26), so she won’t be ready for a new home for 8 weeks. She’s a super sweet girl, very gentle and timid. She gets along with other dogs, kids, and cats. She would be an amazing dog for someone who wants a loving lap dog.

Chihuahua husky mix (Chusky) Tala. I found her on the streets of Brownsville (street dogs are common in south Texas) New Year’s of 2018 with her sister of the same litter. After 7 years of trying to help them be compatible with lots of training, we are not fit to care for them any longer together. I do believe that it is in the best interest of them that they live separately and as we now have a four month old child at home this is our safest option. We very much want to find her a safe and loving home where she will prosper, get the agility, walks, and love she deserves. She truly is a good dog, but she is just reactive with her sister which leads to growling and has escalated to fighting again. Up to date on vaccines, on Simparica Trio for flea and heart worm prevention, weighs about 21 lbs. Been through a training program, knows “place” and other basic commands. Smart, and been seen to be good around other dogs, just not sister. Sometimes limps, on joint supplement.

We took Bennie in from our daughter because she was relocating. Bennie is a very loving, loyal and sweet dog who loves to snuggle. She is your typical chihuahua who is protective (150 lb. dog in a 6 lb. body) and will always let you know when someone is at the door. She loves to lay out in the sun on warm days, and to bury her head in your chest or legs. My wife and I need to rehome Bennie because we are relocating to a community that does not allow pets. Bennie is house-trained and uses a doggie door to go outside. She is leash-trained, but about 5 minutes into a walk she wants to be carried. She will do really well in a home with no small children and no other pets, and with someone who can give her lots of love and attention.
