Story
Meet Mocha — a gentle soul with a heart full of love. &#226&#152&#149 At 14 years young, Mocha has already lived quite a life. She came to us from an overcrowded home in New Mexico, where she was part of a court seizure. Despite her past, Mocha’s spirit remains as warm and comforting as her name suggests. Now in Utah, she’s ready to spend her golden years surrounded by kindness and peace. Mocha is the perfect companion for a calm home — she gets along beautifully with other dogs and loves nothing more than quiet moments, gentle pets, and a cozy spot to nap beside you. Mocha does have some hearing loss, so she’ll need a family with patience and understanding — someone who will give her the time and tenderness she deserves as she adjusts to her new surroundings. Though she’s a senior, her heart is young, and her capacity for love is endless. At Mountain Mamas, we know she’ll never be forgotten — but we also know her forever family is out there, ready to give her the soft landing she so deeply deserves. If you have room in your heart for a sweet, seasoned soul, Mocha is waiting patiently to meet you.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2025, 3:02 pm

Story
**Now fostered in Seattle, WA** Oh my word I am just dying to tell you about this little cutie named Camo. Not only is he absolutely a beauty on the outside, but he is so beautiful on the inside too! Let me just start off by saying this guys got some tricks up his sleeve. Not only does he balance on his hind legs, but he also rolls over, and it doesn’t stop there! He can sit, stay, and more! He always looks both ways before crossing the road on his walks, paying close attention to his foster mom. Camo is one of those dogs that you just simply can’t help yourself from falling in love with, and bragging to everyone you know about him. Heck, I’m doing it right now! Camo is a little brown Chihuahua mix weighing 12 lbs and estimated to be 2 years old. This fun, curious boy loves to explore his home, taking in the world around him with the cutest head tilts. He’s gentle, affectionate, and always happy to curl up in your lap for some snuggles and belly rubs (his favorite!). Beware, if you watch this video, you’ll find yourself clicking that application link with the speed of light afterwards! https://youtu.be/Dqt94yPdOls?si=X4FE2IIStsWtH4Ho Camo will charm you instantly with his big personality. He will keep you laughing with all of his silly antics. He's a playful guy who loves toys of all kinds. Camo is also a fantastic shotgun rider. He loves the car, and maybe you can go on some adventures together! Since he's still young, he's still active and will need outlets for his energy, whether that's playtime with you, with doggy friends, enrichment activities, or walks. His daily walks are not only enjoyable for him, but his manners will make it enjoyable for you too! He loves toys, and since he is so smart, he really enjoys his enrichment toys. From puzzles to snuffle mats, this guys got it alllll figured out. His intelligence puts us in awe! Camo would be perfect for a younger singleton or couple, who will play with him, take him on walks in the neighborhood, and give lots of snuggles. You can often find him cozied up in his bed, looking out the window and falling asleep sunbathing. If you walk over to him, he will hike up his little leg and give you the “where are my belly rubs?” Look. And boy is he good at that one! He will do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can run, play, and sunbathe to his heart's content. He loves to get the zoomies. And it is so funny, partly because he can really fit everywhere! He will run under chairs and tables, jumping on the couch and running around your feet! We promise you will be giggling so hard you won’t be able to stop. He could also live in an apartment because he’s just a tiny guy! He currently lives in an apartment while he waits for his forever family to find him. Camo could fit in anywhere, and that’s what we love most about him. Camo does well with other small dogs and could live in a home with other dogs, or by himself, soaking up all the attention. Camo is a regular at doggy day care, and the entire staff there is in love with him. He has soooooo many friends! He passed a cat test too, so we think he will do well in a home with a cat. Camo will do best in a home without kids, or with older kids, who can respect his boundaries. He would rather his home life be calm and chill. If you’re looking for a playful, fun, and lovable companion who’s just as happy exploring as he is cuddling, Camo might be the perfect match for you! Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. Story
Meet Stark! 🐾 This sweet little guy is a Chihuahua and Jack Russell mix — or at least that’s our best guess! Like many rescues, Stark's exact background is a bit of a mystery, but one thing is certain: he’s full of heart. Stark can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but give him a little time, some gentle cuddles, and a chance to play, and he’ll warm right up. He’s currently living in a foster home with cats and would do just fine with feline companions in his forever home. He’s also open to sharing his space with other small dogs — or he’d be just as happy being your one and only. Playful and affectionate, Stark loves his toys and will trot over when he’s ready for some pets. He walks nicely on a leash and would enjoy joining you for some leisurely strolls. And let’s not forget his best feature: a big, silly, striking smile that’s guaranteed to steal your heart. Crate trained and potty trained, he's already 100% good boy. He even likes to go into his crate for naps on his own. He's mostly a chill boy who loves to nap, but he does still enjoy a good walk or play session. Did you notice the shaved fur in the photos? He had to have his tail partially amputated, but he's healthy and happy, and ready for his forever home. If you’re looking for a little buddy who just needs a bit of love and patience to shine, Stark might be your perfect match. 💛 Application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6830ae072f41d7ea4f009069 Questions?
