Story
Bunny (aka THE BUNS) is part of the dynamic duo bonded pair with Paquita who found themselves in a New Mexico shelter after their person died, and they would love to be adopted together (see listing for Paquita). She and Paquita are both 3-year-old chi (?) mixes who are as different as night and day but go together like peas and carrots.Bunny is a bustling, supremely huggable, social lady who can seem reserved at first, but will soon be burrowing (and snoring) under the covers, requesting salad greens and joyfully strolling the neighborhood with you once she realizes she can trust you. She loves other dogs, cats, and pretty much everyone she meets. She will use the dog door but prefers to be escorted to the (fenced) yard, especially when its rainy or snowy outside (she will use a potty pad if you let her). Bunny has many opinions about passers-by and is not afraid to voice them, so would be best in a single-family home without shared neighbor walls.Bunny walks well on a leash (harness only please!), knows ''sit'', and has generally nice house manners. She gives a stunning side eye and does a mean downward dog. She has been working on her fitness routine and has lost 8 lbs since coming into rescue (with a few more to go!) – she would appreciate a home that will help her reach her summer swimsuit and social goals and to be able to do that with her bestie, Paquita! You won’t be sorry for inviting this terrific pair into your lives!Paquita is part of the dynamic duo bonded pair with Bunny who found themselves in a New Mexico shelter after their person died, and they would love to be adopted together (see listing for Bunny). She and Bunny are both 3-year-old chi (?) mixes who are as different as night and day but go together like peas and carrots.Paquita is a lithe, athletic girl with the softest coat and most jauntily curled tail. The adventurous explorer in the fenced yard, she is the shyer, quieter of the 2 inside and in public. She is not afraid, however, to tell you if she doesn’t like something and can be a bit grumbly (not nippy), so a home with older, dog-savvy children would probably be best.Paquita will use the dog door but prefers to be escorted to the yard for potty time. In cold and snowy weather, she will use a pee pad if you let her. She loves neighborhood walks (harness only please!) and is learning basic leash manners (it is apparent that she and Bunny never had much leash time). One of her favorite activities is doing speedy laps around the yard, second only to getting her ears cleaned by her bestie Bunny. At night, she will curl up into animpossibly tiny ball of floof at your feet. She would love a forever home with her pal Bunny – double the smiles guaranteed!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Bunny and Paquita's adoption fee is $300 for both of them. Story
Harvey is a super special senior who is looking for his super special humans. At about 10 years old, Harvey is old enough to know what he likes - eating and napping! - and what he doesn't - being touched unless it's his idea. Harvey can be a nervous guy around big dogs and new people, we haven't seen him around cats and he shouldn't live with children. Harvey comes by his hesitation honestly, he likely lived a life of neglect and finally abandonment before coming to CAWS and didn't get all the love and care a dog should receive. We're dedicated to changing that now! We know Harvey's people are out there - someone who will allow him to climb onto your lap when he's ready for cuddles, and someone who won't hold his tendency to snap when he feels threatened against him. Harvey has Cushing's disease and thyroid issues, and will require lifelong medication and dedicated care. Harvey does bark, so he'd do better in a house than an apartment with shared walls. If you think you have the big heart to give Harvey the life he deserves, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. Story
Hi there! I'm Mr Ambrose and I'm a small old, spunky soul. I'm 14 years old and only 6.5 lbs but I make up for it with my big personality. True to my chihuahua-ness, I am fiercely loyal to my people. I love to be held and cuddled and will take over all the comfy spots in my house like the royalty I am. I'm also a great protector, I will alert you from strangers, weird noises, aliens, ghosts...whatever dangers may lurk. I live ok with all my doggie foster siblings, big and small but like I said, I am a spitfire. I will tell anyone (both 4-legged and 2-legged) to leave me alone if they're too close or I want to be the boss. I am kind of a jerk to any new dogs coming into the house, or anyone that has an energy that I don't like. I don't like to be surprised, chased, or picked up when I'm not expecting it so no small children for me. I have a few medical things that are well maintained with diet but will still need to be monitored. Overall, I'm an adorable little dude that just wants to be with you, love you, get love back and be the king. Is that too much to ask? If you'd like to meet me, please fill out an application. Do iiit! :)Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. Story
Lima Bean is the sweetest old buddy any family could ask for. He has a happy attitude and loves his people, and is great with both big and small dogs. He also seems to be fine with cats. He loves a good conversation with his people, as well as chill time on the couch, especially if belly scratches and a warm blanket are included. Bean is an older fella, so he does like things kinda quiet, and he does sleep much of the day. As with most seniors, Bean comes with a few health challenges. He has recently recovered from surgery to remove some masses. He is mostly blind, but can get around quite well once he is familiar with his surroundings. Bean is crate trained, and can avoid accidents if he's taken outside every few hours. Willingness to accept Bean for who he is and be patient with his challenges will reward the right family with loyalty, love, and companionship. Bean has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and has been microchipped. Story
Howdy, folks! Possum here coming to you from the comfiest spot in the house--a lap. As you can see, I am an older gentleman. My exact age is unknown, but I think I'm about 12. I am still getting around well, and loving the life of not being in a shelter or on the streets. I am a total sweetheart, and will cuddle endlessly if you let me. I do well with other dogs and humans, but I can be a little grumpy if I’m getting attention and others try to interrupt. I would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children. Since I am a senior fella, I'm pretty mellow, and don’t need a lot of running or walking, although little walks sound like a wonderful time. I am very loyal after I decide you’re mine, so if you decide to meet me, don’t be put off by my tough guy exterior. I’m still learning that humans can be kind and gentle. If you are looking to spend a little time with a sweet senior, I may be just what you’re looking for. I am neutered and current on all vaccinations. If you are interested in adopting Possum, please contact Uaaf.org to fill out an adoption application. If you have further questions, contact Megan at meganmorrison@gmail.com or 801-703-0639.

Story
Say hello to Jethro, a ten year-old male chihuahua who still has plenty of energy and love to give. Jethro is a sweet boy who loves everyone he meets. He has a bit of a swagger to his walk, and likes to strut his stuff on short walks and then take long naps. He went camping with his foster family recently, and had a ball exploring the wilds. Jethro was found as a stray, so his history is unknown, but we do know he is ready for his forever family. He is good with other dogs, but has not been tested around cats. He's so mellow that we're guessing he'd be okay, but that should be tested before committing to him. He'll also be fine with older children. During his neuter surgery, the vet discovered that Jethro had testicular cancer. He is cancer free now, but there is a chance it could recur, so his new family will need to keep a close eye on his lymph nodes. He recently had a dental and lost all but three of his teeth. He still eats really well, but does prefer soft food. He sleeps well in a crate, and uses the dog door almost all the time. He is pretty quiet for a small dog, so nothing to worry about with close neighbors. He also has the downward dog pose mastered and you will be amazed at how fast my tail wags when he does it. He really is a mellow guy who loves to hang with his people. He would be a great addition to any family. If you feel your family is the right match for the cuteness that is Jethro, please fill out an adoption application at UAAF.org. If you have questions, call / text Kirsty at (435) 671-0985 or email Kirsty.ju@gmail.com.

Story
Calling all Chihuahua lovers! Dolly is a two-year-old, 12-pound Chihuahua mix seeking her forever home. Do you work from home? This girl will sink into your lap and sit all day with you, and she won’t interrupt you with barking or nuzzles. She might be front and center on video calls, but she stays quiet. So, if you need a work assistant to help keep you calm, focused and warm while working at your computer--Dolly is your girl. If you travel for work that’s great too because she is only 12-pounds, so she’s easy to transport. She jumps into the car and rides well in the passenger seat. She is very loyal and cuddly, especially with her favorite human. She's food motivated, so when treats are involved, she will approach for affection and even jump up for more love. Tasty treats win her over, so even if she doesn’t immediately like a person, a snack can change that. Dolly is a great sleeper and is potty trained. She prefers to play with puppies or just receive all the love and attention herself. She isn’t a fan of large dogs but is easily redirected. Because Chihuahuas are innately territorial and can be a bit touchy, she would do best in a home with older kids. Although she did well sitting in a room with the cats, we don’t think she would enjoy living with them. Dolly likes to roam freely, not preferring the kennel, though crate training is recommended. She is easy on a leash. She will follow you and not yank or pull. Dolly needs a structured home with a knowledgeable handler, and time to decompress and open up. If you can provide the training and love she requires, Dolly will shower you with affection. Apply to adopt this sweet girl today! This cute little white chi mix is Tiny! Tiny is about 2 years old and weighs in at around 11 lbs of pure playfulness and fun! He’s is a ball of supercharged energy in a cute little package! Tiny would do best in a home with a younger person/family that has lots of time and energy to play with him! He loves to run around the yard and has so much energy! He would also do best in a home with a submissive dog or as an only dog. He LOVES to play fetch and for his human to throw the ball for him! He could literally do this for hours! He would do fine as an apartment or condo dweller as he is not vocal or a big barker…. as long as he gets plenty of mental and physical stimulation! Tiny is completely create trained and doesn’t whine or bark when crated. He sleeps soundly all night in his crate. His foster mom is working with him on house training. She is teaching him to use the doggy door but he sometimes doesn’t use it for its intended purpose! It’s a work in progress with this little guy! He doesn’t potty in his crate and can hold it until his foster mom lets him out to go outside. He’s such a sweetheart and oh-so-smart! He eats alongside the resident dogs with no food aggression. Do you love snuggly teeny pups? Birdie is just that and more! She is a whopping 13 lbs, and most of that is her big heart! When this girl loves, she loves hard. Lullaby Birdie is estimated at 6 months old and the sweetest snugglebug you will ever meet. She is ready to curl up for nap time and will nuzzle her adorable little snout right at your neck. She has the most adorable little petite face, softest little belly, softest teeny paws, teeniest little ears-- you won't be able to resist a smile. Wait until you see her bounce around like a little, big dog-- total feelgood moment. Clear your camera roll. You will want to make room for the gazillion photos and videos that you won't be able to resist taking! Lullaby Birdie is still a young pup and enjoys to play. She is currently fostered in a home with a little girl, who she adores, and a few dogs who she loves to run around and have a good time with. They have been instrumental in teaching her the dog ways. She is a smart cookie, and very quick learner. Best part is that even though she is still young, she has crate training and potty training down packed! Keep in mind that she is a little one and may need just a few days to adjust and put all these skills in place in a new home. Birdie is looking for a home with the softest blanket and cushiony hooman arms that she can crawl in and love you forever. Don't miss out on this beautiful little one. Apply today! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Oh little Chewy Joe! He is so much fun and he is a big dog in a little man’s body. He has so much spunk and he is so confident for how tiny he is! He also can rock any hair style you give him. We love a confident little fella like Chewy. He is full of energy, loves to have fun, and also enjoys a good snuggle sesh as well. He’ll sit in your lap for how long you let him and get all of the lovin’s from ya! Watch his video here: https://youtu.be/wCZI4DpBfOs?si=AiWamYsP0SFmZNdR Chewy Joe is a Chiuahaha mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 12 lbs and is fully grown!! He’s a little guy and full of spunk! Chewy loves being apart of the pack and loves to be around his dog friends, big and small. He’s not scared and was actually jumping all over a 60 lb block head pittite. It was hilarious. Chewy loves to play and run around and would do best in a home with other active playful dogs like him that have a high tolerance for young jumpy little scruffy guys. He does accept corrections from other dogs if he is being too much for them. Chewy also did great during our at test and was completely unphased by them. He was more interested in playing with his doggy friend and being with his humans. We do not know if he has ever lived with a cat and this can change once in a home a environment. If anything he will want to play with the cat. Chewy will do great in home with a backyard or even an apartment/condo home environment. He’s a little guy and is confident in new places making him the perfect companion to take with you on errands, trips to starbucks, or even in your purse if you have one that he’ll fit in. Chewy does great meeting new people and knows no stranger. He is very tolerant with physical touch and would make a great addition to a family with kids 7+ and up. To our knowledge, he is crate trained and potty trained but may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once he arrives at his forever home. We are willing to test this dog with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Application link: Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! Story
Who doesn’t love a cute tiny scruffy little dog that loves to be around his humans and would sit in your lap for as long as you’d let them? Well look no further because Sydney Little Boy is the little dog for you. He’ll sit in your lap while you work on the computer, lay next to you during movie nights and will gladly join you on errand runs. He’s happy as long as he’s by your side and with the ones that love him. Sydney is a really good boy and deserves to be in a home where he is the center of attention and where he’ll get spoiled. Watch his video here: https://youtu.be/C5dwhI_UcS8?si=pFgM-ctqPQ0s27BZ Sydney is a cute scruffy Chihuahua mix approximately 5 years old and currently weighs 11 lbs and is fully grown! He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, we cannot guarantee the age or breed but we can guarantee that he’s cute and perfect! Sydney is very dog friendly and did great with every dog we introduced him to, big and small! He wasn’t too interested in playing with the other dogs, he would mostly stay back with his humans and watch the other dogs playing or he would be out exploring. Sydney is more of a peoples dog, he loves people and loves to be around them. He is a little shy at first when meeting new people but once he opens up and bonds to his person, you’ll have an amazing companion that always wants to be your side. Sydney was very tolerant with all of the dogs and didn’t mind sharing affection with them or when another little dog was jumping all over him. He has a really high tolerance. He also takes corrections very well from other dogs too if they ever need to correct him which is rare because he’s very respectful and mindful of other dogs boundaries and isn’t pushy. Sydney also did great during our cat test. He was completely unphased by them and would most likely do well in a home with cats. We do not know if he has ever lived with cats nor can we guarantee that this won’t change in a home. To our knowledge, Sydney is crate trained and potty trained but may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once he arrives at his forever home. Sydney is medium to low energy and will not require much exercise which is why we believe he would do great in a home with a backyard or even an apartment/condo style home environment. He would do great in a home as a single dog or with doggy friends his size or bigger that are more calm and relaxed like him. Sydney is the type of dog I can see sitting next to you on the porch reading the paper and enjoying a nice cup of coffee and the type of boy that is great for someone who is simply wanting companionship. We are willing to test Sydney with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
