Welcome Loetta to SSBR! Loetta is a ~3 year old Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix) looking for her forever home! She came to us from Calcasieu Parish Animal Services who are sadly very overfull and overwhelmed with dogs in need. She’s the sweetest girl with the most happy personality. She’s great with other dogs and all other people. She has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is currently located in Louisiana and an adopter would need to travel to her. This is Chico. The award-winner for the sweetest dog in my book. He is know to lick your tears when in distress and do silly moves when you need a smile. He is and forever my everything, but times have gotten hard and have been for a while. I have newborn now as well and I can no longer dedicate the time and energy into him that he deserves. He is a comforter to my kids and always on alert whenever baby cries.I got him in my childhood and we had two dogs at the time. The loss of his brother did affect him and made him more co-dependent on my affection. I’m looking for a home that will love him like there own and is able to provide from him in all care aspects that a dog needs. He is up to date on all his vaccinations and well check as of quite recently. That’s why the fee is what it is. Chico came from a stray litter the mom carried the entire litter one by one to a friend of my dad’s door and never came back. His story is quite amazing. Overall, Chico is loving and a beautiful dog.

Meet Rue, our 4 1/2 year old Chihuahua. Sadly we are looking to rehome him to a furever home. He has been with us since birth and has always done amazing with our son who is now 11. This past year we had a baby and she has proven to be too much for him. As you can see he is the biggest cuddler and would live under you if he could. He is crate trained, very loving to his owners, he does not do well with other dogs big and small alike. He doesn’t care to use the bathroom on a leash, we typically let him out in the backyard and he does his business and comes back. He would do great in a home with children that aren’t infants. He is neutered and microchipped and would come with all his essentials. He does have high anxiety when it comes to getting his nails clipped(we take him to lucky puppy nail specialist and he’s slowly been adapting). Free to a good home, we just want to know he will be loved as much as we loved him.

Hola! Capi, here. I'm a 6-year-old chihuahua/dachshund mix gal who arrived at spcaflorida from Puerto Rico in late March. I spent a day in the adoption center and everyone noted how I can "work a room." Spoiler alert: I don't relish when a human hovers over me and tries to pick me up. Shyness happens at first but disappears when I hear your sweet voice, especially when you ask, "Wanna go home with me?" My now pearly whites had some mild tartar and ears, wax but those issues are history. At the present time, I'm in treatment for heartworms but will be done on April 24. So between now and then, I'll need to limit intensive activity for a while. At my age, I'm pretty calm and will nap between tail wags and body wiggles. I'm the one with the huge brown eyes emphasized with white surrounding circles. So, please stop by soon, let's take a walk and get acquainted. WOOF!
