Dumpling Village is a tiny 4-pound chiweenie with a heart that’s much bigger than she is. At just 5 months old, this sweet girl is still learning about the world and taking everything one gentle step at a time. Dumpling is a little shy when she first meets new people, but once she feels safe, her true personality shines. She absolutely loves giving kisses, curling up in your lap, and soaking up all the affection she can get. She’s incredibly sweet and gets along well with other dogs. She is both house-trained and crate-trained, which is pretty impressive for such a young pup! Dumpling is still working on her leash skills and will need a patient adopter willing to help her build confidence and continue learning. Dumpling came to us as part of a large rescue effort after being saved from a hoarding situation with over 30 dogs in one home. Whimzy came from a tough beginning — a home with over 30 dogs living in poor conditions — but thanks to the efforts of multiple rescues (including ours), he finally has the chance to enjoy the good life. And he’s making the most of it! He’s housebroken, crate-trained, and learning to use the doggy door. Leash walking is still something he’s figuring out, but with how smart and eager he is, he’s improving every day. Whimzy loves playing with toys and spending time outside — exploring, sniffing, and soaking up the sunshine are some of his favorite things.
