She is quite possibly **one of the sweetest dogs you could ever meet**. Once Lilly trusts you, she loves deeply and wants nothing more than to be close to her person. But there is something important her future family needs to understand: **Lilly is scared. Really scared.** New people, unfamiliar places, sudden movement, noise, and changes in her surroundings can overwhelm her. Her first instinct is not aggression—it is to **run, hide, and make herself disappear until she feels safe**. That means Lilly does not need someone who expects her to become their best friend in five minutes. Peter is 6 pounds . They're both very bonded and can't be without each other .Their both males and the bigger one is bonded very much with his brother/friend. They are shy and scared at first but warm up quickly to people. Loud noises scare them big dogs scare them at first but once they meet them they are good. They are good with smaller dogs and cats. They love food!!! They are using pee pads as of night now and they use a doggie door during the day. They're up to date on all their medical neutered and microchipped. At just 1 year old and 17 pounds, Tarpon is a little Chiweenie mix with a BIG personality—and an even bigger heart! This handsome little guy is the definition of go with the flow. He arrived in his foster home and quickly settled right in, adapting to his new family like he’d always belonged there. His tail is always wagging, he loves attention, and he’s eager to please. Basically, Tarpon’s philosophy is: If you’re happy, I’m happy… now where are my treats? Tarpon loves people, dogs, walks, playtime, and snuggles. He enjoys exploring outside and happily trots along on leash. Once the adventures are over, he’s more than ready to jump up on the bed and curl up with his humans. Lua is 2 years old, just 13 lbs, and basically the perfect little best friend. She’s great with other dogs, even great with cats, and has the sweetest, most easygoing personality. Her favorite thing? Belly rubs. She’ll roll right over, close her eyes, and fully soak up every second. As long as love and pets are coming her way, Lua is happy. But this dream girl hasn’t always had the life she deserves. Lua was dumped on the side of the road while pregnant. She eventually gave birth near a restaurant, where she survived by eating scraps out of the trash while caring for her babies. What makes her story even more heartbreaking is that it was very obvious Lua had once been someone’s dog. And somehow, after all of that, she is still pure sweetness. At only 13 lbs, she’s the perfect little size with a calm, chill personality. She doesn’t ask for much—just someone to love, a safe place to land, and, of course, unlimited belly rubs. Lua is currently in Puerto Rico but will soon be transported to the States and into whichever comes first: a foster home or, even better, her forever home.
