Story
Macy is an adorable 2½-year-old, 8-pound female Chihuahua/Dachshund (Chiweenie) mix—at least that’s our best guess! What we know for sure is that she’s absolutely charming and full of personality. This little girl is smart, active, and fun-loving. She thrives in a lively environment and would do best in a home with another active dog to play with and learn from. Macy enjoys staying busy, exploring her surroundings, and being part of the action. Macy is great with other dogs and truly loves being around her people. She bonds closely and wants to be included in daily life—whether that’s playtime, walks, or just hanging out together. She’s currently working on her housebreaking and is making progress with consistency and routine. If you’re looking for a happy, energetic companion who will keep you smiling and fit right into an active household, Macy might be your perfect match. She’s ready to bring love, fun, and a little sass into her forever home 🐾💖

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to NJ for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Dumpling Village! Dumpling Village is a tiny 4-pound chiweenie with a heart that’s much bigger than she is. At just 5 months old, this sweet girl is still learning about the world and taking everything one gentle step at a time. Dumpling is a little shy when she first meets new people, but once she feels safe, her true personality shines. She absolutely loves giving kisses, curling up in your lap, and soaking up all the affection she can get. She’s incredibly sweet and gets along well with other dogs. She is both house-trained and crate-trained, which is pretty impressive for such a young pup! Dumpling is still working on her leash skills and will need a patient adopter willing to help her build confidence and continue learning. Dumpling came to us as part of a large rescue effort after being saved from a hoarding situation with over 30 dogs in one home. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate lap dog who will reward your patience with endless love and kisses, Dumpling Village may be the perfect match. Interested in becoming a forever home for Dumpling? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. **Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to NJ for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Jasmine Bailey! Tiny paws, big personality! Jasmine Bailey is a 5-month-old chiweenie cutie weighing just 5½ pounds, but don’t let her size fool you—this little lady has plenty of charm. Born on 7/21/25 right at our rescue (her mama arrived pregnant), Jasmine has been surrounded by love since day one. Jasmine is a happy, curious pup who loves to explore and play. She can be a little shy when meeting new people at first, but give her a moment and she’ll warm up with tail wags and sweetness. She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys having furry friends—cats, however, are still a bit too spooky for her taste! This smart girl already knows how to use a potty pad and understands going outside too. She’s still practicing her leash skills, but she’s learning and getting better every day. Jasmine Bailey is looking for a forever family who will keep up her training, cheer her on, and give her lots of love. She’s a tiny bundle of joy ready to wiggle her way into your heart! **Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to NJ for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Sage Bailey! Say hello to Sage Bailey, a 5-month-old chiweenie boy with a sweet face, tiny paws, and a heart full of love! He weighs just 7 pounds and was born on 7/21/25 right here at our rescue after his mom arrived pregnant—so he’s been surrounded by care and kindness since day one. Sage is a gentle, lovable pup who can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he warms up, he’s all tail wags and puppy charm. He does great with other dogs and enjoys having canine buddies to help show him the ropes. Cats, on the other hand, are still a bit too mysterious for this little guy! He’s already doing awesome with potty training—Sage knows how to use a potty pad and understands going outside too. He’s still learning leash manners, but he’s making progress and just needs a patient cheerleader to help build his confidence. Sage does have a stage two heart murmur, which is being monitored and doesn’t slow him down from enjoying puppy life, playtime, and cuddles. Sage Bailey is ready to find a loving forever home that will help him grow, learn, and feel safe. He may be small, but his happy spirit and sweet heart make him truly special! Story
The Vince we know today has already undergone such an unbelievable evolution from the one that arrived on the farm. He had an at-times snappy aversion to touch. He trembled, hid and withdrew, the results of past trauma we wouldn't want to imagine. Thanks to patience, freedom of choice, and some encouragement from his doggie friends, Vince has allowed us to peel back the layers and show his funny inner personality. If this little guy knows one thing for sure it's that he likes to stay active. After a period of familiarization with the presence of the leash and the motion of putting on said leash, Vince has grown to become quite the walking partner. He can often be found on pack walks with his head held high as he surveys his surroundings. When he's not out on a stroll, Vince can be found zipping around the play yard with his friends...though he's not quite sure how to do this whole "play" thing just yet and will happily take a break from the action to explore his environment on his own. Vince also loves his toys; it brings such joy to watch him toss them about with a jolly demeanor that can't help but make you giggle. Vince still has a great deal of learning to do in how to be a pet dog. The structure we have provided, paired with a gentle approach, has allowed him to understand where he fits in the daily routine. Though he has become quite bold in his now comfortable surroundings, we know it will take a great deal of patience to welcome Vince into an unfamiliar environment. A home that is dedicated to continuing his growth (a process that is both highly challenging and highly rewarding) would be what's needed for this delightfully playful yet still highly uncertain little guy to blossom into his fullest potential. ___ THANK YOU for your interest in a rescue dog! Story
Gandy is a solid delightful spunky little chi mix that was originally surrendered to a southern shelter along with 5 other chihuahuas. We took them all and each one was placed in great homes! Sadly after 2 years Gandy was returned to us at Love Dogs due to personal circumstances in his previous owners life. When he first arrived back to us last week after two years in his home, he was one chunky monkey!! We welcomed him back.. he was always much loved here and he did recognize us.. naturally he had to readjust and was initially a bit reserved and cautious ( part of his nature!). He will never be a confident greeter of new people.. but he is able to and actually wants to feel safe and loved. It didn't take long for him to get into our routine and start trusting us again. Right now Gandy's days are filled with positive experiences only! Playgroups with his buddies Hopper, Navy and Ollie.. long walks around the farm property and tours into the barn to explore all the wondrous horse smells! Gandy is so affectionate and loving to those on his inner circle.. often jumping in our laps and rubbing on us like a cat for attention! He has his favorite friends and with them he gives his whole heart!! Gandy would do well in a home with a another dog or cat but children not so much! He prefers calm and gentle friends who will find it easy to give him space time and choices!! With his somewhat challenging start in life our hopeful buddy deserves a sweet happily ever after!
