Story
Meet Coriander — a tiny bundle of love, sweetness, and puppy charm! This adorable little Chiweenie is just over 4 months old, weighs around 7 pounds, and was born on 01/09/2026. With his playful personality and precious puppy face, Coriander is sure to steal hearts wherever he goes. Coriander is still learning all the important puppy basics and is looking for a patient, loving family to help her continue growing into the amazing dog he’s meant to be. He is already crate trained and doing wonderfully, and he’s currently working on his house training and leash skills. Like any young puppy, he will thrive with consistency, encouragement, and lots of love as he learns the ropes of family life. This little boy is curious, affectionate, and eager to explore the world around him. Whether he’s playing, cuddling up for nap time, or discovering something new, Coriander brings joy and happiness everywhere he goes. He has that perfect puppy mix of silly energy and sweet snuggles that makes every day brighter. Coriander is ready to find a forever family that will guide her through puppyhood and give him all the love he deserves. In return, he promises a lifetime of companionship, laughter, and unconditional love! Interested in becoming a forever home for Coriander? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ/OR, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Zuke was adopted when he was one from a shelter in upstate NY. He is 12 now. He is very loving, loves cuddles and walks, sleeps a lot and really needs someone who is home most of the time. He would really enjoy a home with a yard. He loves to explore his outdoors and lay in the sun. Unfortunately I am not able to provide what he needs anymore. I am taking care of an elderly sick parent who needs more and more of my time with everyday life and doctor’s appointments. My absence is creating stress for both of us.

Story
Chihuahuas are some of the most beloved breeds in America today. Their small bodies and tender, loving souls bring the kind of affection that so many people are searching for. They don’t need much space or food, yet they give enormous companionship, loyalty, and joy. These little dogs want to be at the center of their person’s world, creating bonds that last a lifetime and leaving a legacy of love that endures even after they are gone.   Grant’s story is one of resilience and hope. He came from a home with too many dogs and not enough care, ending up in a tiny shelter in Tennessee, frightened and unsure of the world. Despite this uncertain past, Grant has a gentle heart and a sweet, affectionate nature that is shining through more every day.   Grant is a handsome 1-year-old, 15-pound Chihuahua with the most charming white sock “leggings” that make him truly stand out. He’s a tall little boy with a big heart, and though he can be a bit nervous at first, he is making remarkable progress in just two weeks with us. Like a child a little afraid of the dark, Grant simply needs patience, love, and gentle reassurance. Once he feels safe, he will gladly curl up in your lap, soak up attention, and shower you with affection.   He is good with other dogs, though sometimes a little bossy at first—likely a habit from his uncertain past—but he quickly backs down once he feels secure. Grant is mostly housebroken and does well in a home without a crate. He is a climber and clever little adventurer, so confining him isn’t the best idea. He thrives when allowed to move freely, and he won’t tear anything up.   Grant is a small dog with enormous potential to become a loving, devoted companion for the right person. He is ready to blossom in a home that will give him the patience and affection he deserves, one cozy, comforting day at a time.   To make Grant a part of your life, email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Please include your city and state.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comSeptember 1, 2026, 12:44 pm

Story
Artie: A Little Dog With a Whole Lot of Love There is something about Artie that makes you want to scoop him up, hold him close, and promise him that everything is going to be okay.Artie is an almost 6-month-old long-haired Chihuahua who weighs 9.5 pounds, and this handsome little blondie is overflowing with personality. He has the perfect combination of puppy spunk and sass, softened by an enormous capacity for cuddles, affection, and love. He is playful, curious, wonderfully social, and just plain delightful.Artie came to Critter Cavalry Rescue after his family realized that, despite everyone's best intentions, a young puppy was simply more responsibility than their circumstances allowed. His mom was working incredibly long hours to provide for her three children, and although the children had promised to help with the puppy, those promises didn't become reality. When it became clear that Artie needed more time, attention, training, and commitment than the family could provide, his mom did the right thing and asked for help. And that is where Artie's next chapter began.Today, this little boy is fully vetted and ready for a family who understands that puppies are a commitment and who will happily continue helping him become the wonderful adult dog he is destined to be. His biggest lesson right now is continuing his housetraining. Beyond that, he is an absolute joy.Artie has been around both big and small dogs and thinks everyone is a potential playmate. He never seems to have gotten the memo that some dogs might not want to be his best friend, because as far as Artie is concerned, there are no strangers—only friends he hasn't met yet. He has even attended three Puppy Yoga classes with children and adults, giving him wonderful opportunities to experience new people and environments. He is also a seasoned little traveler. Artie does beautifully in the car and isn't an excessive barker. In fact, he is surprisingly selective about what deserves his attention. One of our favorite things about him is his adorable habit of collecting his toys and carrying them back to his dog bed, as though he is carefully putting his little treasures away. And when the day is over, Artie knows how to settle down. He sleeps through the night in bed with his people and can be as quiet and calm as can be. There is something incredibly sweet about watching this energetic little puppy finally curl up beside you and simply enjoy being close. We expect Artie will grow to around 15 pounds, making him a wonderful size for someone looking for a small companion with a big personality. He has good recall, doesn't appear to be a runner, and would love having even a small securely fenced area where he can safely stretch his legs and enjoy some off-leash playtime. What Artie needs now is not just a home. He needs someone committed to finishing what was started for him. Someone dog-savvy who understands that a puppy still has lessons to learn. Someone who will laugh at his puppy antics, appreciate his little quirks, continue his housetraining, and give him the consistency and love that will help him grow into the exceptional dog we know he can be.We absolutely adore this little guy, and we want his next home to be forever.Artie is fostered in Tennessee and is ready to hop on the van and head north to the Northeast. Critter Cavalry Rescue transports every weekend, so his new family may not be as far away as they think. If Artie sounds like the little blondie you've been waiting for, contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to learn more.Artie has already had one change of plans in his young life. Now he deserves the one thing every puppy dreams of: a family who chooses him for keeps.

Story
Darling Darcy — 8 Pounds of Pure LoveIf you’ve ever wished for a tiny little companion who would happily go wherever you go, curl up in your arms, sleep beside you at night, and make you feel like the most important person in the world, you need to meet Darcy.Darcy is an 8-year-old, 8-pound long-haired Chihuahua with a beautiful face, a lively little spirit, and a heart that is absolutely overflowing with love. She is the kind of girl who wants to be close to her person and would be perfectly content snuggled in your arms or tucked beside you on the pillow at bedtime. She is affectionate without being boring, though—this little lady still has plenty of life and fun in her!Darcy LOVES going for car rides and thinks she should be included in your adventures whenever possible. She also has a hilarious little protective streak and will happily keep watch over the car while you pop inside to run an errand. She is a tiny dog with a surprisingly important job! ❤️What really makes Darcy happy is having a fenced yard. She didn’t have one in her previous home, and now that she has discovered the joy of safely running and exploring at her foster home, she absolutely loves it. Watching this little girl prance around the yard like a miniature pony, stopping to smell the grass and flowers and enjoy the fresh air, is pretty darn adorable. A securely fenced yard—even a small one—is important for her happiness.Darcy is still working on her house manners and is making progress with her foster family. With consistency, patience, and a person who can give her the attention she needs, we believe she will get there. She is a sweet girl who simply needs someone willing to help her succeed.Darcy had a frightening experience in her past when she was attacked by a large dog, and she remains very afraid of big dogs. She does well with other small dogs, but her forever family will need to make sure she is protected from large dogs.Darcy may be 8 years old, but she certainly hasn’t read the memo about slowing down! She is playful, curious, affectionate, and ready to enjoy the good life she deserves. Give this little girl a soft place to land, a fenced yard to explore, and a person to love, and she will give you something far more valuable in return—her whole heart. If Darcy sounds like the little companion you’ve been missing, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.
