Story
Meet Trixie! Trixie is a 5yr old smoothcoat Dachshund with possibly a slight mix of another small breed. There’s also good reason to believe that she may not be a mix at all. Without genetic testing, Bubbas Station can’t be sure. We are sure that whatever she may be, she is an absolute darling, smart, & friendly dog just looking for a friend. Trixie spent the first several years of her life in the Lancaster puppy mills as a mill momma. The first 3-4 yrs of her life she was used as a puppy maker and milk machine. Once she stopped producing the way the “Man” wanted her to, she had to go. She then landed up for sale in a pet store. A woman bought her and took her home to her apartment where she spent the next 1-2 yrs. Trixie’s owner recently moveed and does not have accommodations for Trixie, once again leaving Trixie homeless. Bubbas Station learned about Trixie’s situation and was able to intervene, thus keeping her out of the Philly shelter. To say this pups life has been a sorted journey, is putting it mildly. As we’ve spent the last two weeks getting to know Trixie, her resilience is to be admired. She has been nothing but a joy to us and each of our volunteers. She is completely housebroken, doesn’t chew anything that was not given to her in the first place. In true Dachshund form, she has nothing but love bubbling over to share with a forever human or a forever family. Trixie being 5 to 6 years old, would be happiest in a calm home, where her humans would be around more often than not. Although we are certain that she would never harm a child, or anything at all, we feel that a home with small children would be too much for Trixie. Therefore, we are looking for a home without small children. Trixie loves all dogs! If you have a playful dog at home that you’ve been considering finding a friend for, Trixie may be a perfect addition! Trixie has shown us that she likes to have a lil privacy when she goes to the bathroom. While leashed just won’t work for her so a fenced yard is a must for her. It's my turn! I am Dalton and my Foster Mom says I am her best ever. I am all about having fun and giving love so I think I won her over. I love life and everyone I meet! Playing ball, running in the yard, rollies, watching TV...all of it...I am so excited about everything I do. So let me ask you...can I help you start your day with a smile? I help my current humans do that and I just know I could help you too. So if you are looking for someone to bring a little joy into your life on an on-going basis, think of me and get that application in over at the DRBC website. I'll be waiting for ya! Dalton is a 3 year old neutered brown and black male who is current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative and has been placed on the DRBC long life diet. Story
Hi everybody! My name is Lucky. I am a little nervous about being here because I am not as exciting as all the other doxies at DRBC and I am afraid no one will want to meet and love me. You see, I need a unique home. I need a fenced yard...I really do, because I love to run around and love to sit in the sun and tan. I am really a good boy and I have so much love to give. So if you have a little time to work with me and need some love here I am. Just fill in the application and then let's set that meet and greet date. I can hard wait. See you soon :)! I'll know you...you'll be that extra special human. Lucky is an 2 year old neutered black and tan male doxie who is current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative and has been placed on the DRBC long life diet. If you are seriously interested in participating in DRBC's Adoption Program, visit our webpage: www.DRBCAdopts.com to learn more. The DRBC Website will help you can learn more about our adoption process and complete the application. Please note, our organization is operated solely by volunteers. Our PetFinder listing may not be current for this reason; however, we always have many dogs with similar characteristics looking for loving homes. Do not get attached to a picture or a story. Our process which has been in existence since 1984 will work to find the right dog for you and your family. Story
Meet Leah, a 4-5 year old Dachshund mix. She has reached her mature weight of 15 pounds and wears a short red/brown coat. Leah came into our care terrified with four equally scared little puppies. She can be shy with strangers, but is learning that new people are friendly! Leah gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, making her the perfect companion for a home that already has other pets in the household. She loves toys and to play. Adopt Leah and let this sweet girl fill your life with happiness! (ME, 9/1/24)**It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.September 17, 2024, 1:23 am

Story
Meet Tulip, a 2-year-old Dachshund and Chiweenie mix who is as sweet and pretty as her name suggests. This little girl wears a short black and white coat and has reached her mature weight of only 10 pounds. Due to her petite size, any children in the home should be older than 10 years or have extensive experience handling small dogs. Although she can initially be a little shy, she warms up very quickly. Tulip does wonderfully with other dogs. She loves to run around in her kennel and follow you for attention. Adopt Tulip and let this sweet girl fill you with happiness! Story
Adalynn and her brothers, Archie and Arden, are 4- to 5-month-old Chiweenies (mix of Chihuahua and Dachshund) with all the scamper of puppies!  Presently each weighs between 8 and 10 pounds, but will be around 15-20 pounds when mature. Due to their petite size, children in the home should be older than ten years or have experience handling small dogs.  Good with other dogs, kids, and their foster's cat, these little doll babies are great to have around.  Wearing their short coats of different colors, they're not just cute, they're absolutely adorable!  Adopt one or all three of these puppy wonders!  Adoption fee $395 (8/21/24, TN)**It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate.
