Quarantine up July 18th, 2026 Meet little Abby! ❤️ She looks like a tiny stuffed animal, but I promise she’s the real deal. She has the cutest little underbite! Her mama is an adorable 10-pound terrier mix named Miss Piggy, and we rescued this sweet little family from the streets of the Rio Grande Valley. Julia currently weighs just 2 pounds and is every bit as precious as she looks. Before going to her forever home, Abby will be spayed, up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, and ready to start her next adventure. She is one of the cuddliest little puppies you’ll ever meet. I have a feeling she was born to be someone’s little purse princess, happily tagging along wherever life takes you. If you’ve been looking for a tiny companion with a huge personality and an even bigger heart, Julia just might be your perfect match. Apply today to adopt this little sweetheart! 🐾💕 If you’d like to make this sweet dog part of your family, please review our adoption process and complete an application here: https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/adopt Learn more about our rescue here: https://www.facebook.com/TracysPawsRescue Every dog adopted through Tracy’s Paws receives: • Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) • All core vaccines (age-appropriate) • Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives • Regular Deworming • Spay/neuter surgery • Microchip Breed and age listings are our best guess, based on appearance. Story
Bonded Brother of Emory MarieHi there! We are Emory (Emme) & Finley! I am Emme and I am the big sister. I am 8 years old and weigh 13 pounds. My brother Finley is 7 years old and weigh 19 pounds. We are Blue Isabella Dachshunds, and we don’t know you, but we love you already. We love everyone! My little brother and I were surrendered to DDRTX due to our previous family having too busy of a schedule. We do have diluted color alopecia due to the type of dachshund we are but we don’t let that slow us down one bit! We are extremely happy, love attention, are great with kids, and are potty trained. We are not intimidated by a house full of children…we may be just as loud as they are. The more humans, the more people to love on us! My brother and I love being around humans and we do good with other dogs as well. We spend our days lounging on the couch, begging for pets, playing with toys, and snuggling with each other or the closest human around. If you would like to know more about us or meet us, make sure to fill out an application! A Note From Our Foster Mom – If you are looking for a silly and happy pair who throw the biggest welcome party every time you get home…then Emme and Finley are for you! These 2 are the sweetest dogs and are so easy to fall in love with.  They experienced a lot of alone time with their previous family so it’s like they have it all built up and clobber you with love. They take a little time to adjust but I can guarantee a lot of laughs, smiles, and cuddles with these 2 sweet & rambunctious siblings.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please see FAQs for current adoption fees.  DDRTX only adopts in Central/South Texas. Story
#2 of the 6 Ice Cream Flavor DogsCookie Dough is a 3-year-old black and tan piebald dachshund and weighs 12 pounds, She and 5 other dachshunds, known as the Ice Cream Flavor dogs, were brought into Diamond Dachshund Rescue when her owner passed away.  Cookie Dough is shy and doesn't want to be picked up but will sit on your lap when you sit on the couch!  She will lay beside you in the big bed too!  Cookie Dough loves toys and chew bones.  She will play with a toy for a while.  She likes the other dogs in her foster home and wants to play when they go outside.  She will wrestle and wants to chase around the yard.  While Cookie Dough is good with adults, she isn't trusting enough of children. Since she was most likely not near them before, they make her nervous. Her best home would be one with no kids and most likely another dog to teach her further how to trust and feel safe.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please see FAQs for current adoption fees.  DDRTX only adopts in Central/South Texas. Story
Princess Emerald is a 6-year-old sweet extra-long dachshund and weighs 15 pounds.  Her foster Mom can't leave her soft ears alone and she loves to be petted and scratched. She wants to be with her person and wants to please. She is very smart and has learned the foster homes routine very quickly. She can be timid with the unexpected and will quick movements can startle her. She gets long with the calm, older dog in her foster home.  She is house broken if you let her out and she has used potty pads inside the home.  She had a doggie door in her previous home. Her favorite spot is inside on a big soft bed on the floor near her family. She needs a ramp for her to get on the couch or bed but with her long back she is probably better on the floor.  She is crate trained and will come when you call her name.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please see FAQs for current adoption fees.  DDRTX only adopts in Central/South Texas. Story
Delta, Looking at her pictures, you'd never know she came in looking like a train wreck. This poor dog lived on the streets for years and she sure looked it when she came in. Those days are behind her now and she is ready to roll on to the next chapter. Delta is a around 6 yrs old and weighs close to 50 lbs and she is very true to her breed. She is a stubborn Basset Hound who will keep you laughing every day. We enjoy her antics around here and love watching her and her boyfriend Mack play. Delta was treated for heartworms and is currently being treated for Chagas disease. Don't let that worry you.... she is doing great and strong as a bull. She is doing great on treatment! She gets along best with male dogs but can coexisit with male or female if its the right dog.
Every dog adopted through Tracy’s Paws receives: • Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) • All core vaccines (age-appropriate) • Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives • Regular Deworming • Spay/neuter surgery • Microchip
