Meet the Lovable Latte! She is a 1-year-old 20-pound mixed breed, with a shiny tan/back coat and the sweetest brown eyes youâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll ever see. Latte was adopted from a local shelter about 10 months ago and has quickly settled into her new home. She is microchipped and up to date with shots. Latte is an energetic pup who loves to run around the yard and play with her toys. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is a curious pup. Latte enjoys playing tug-of-war and always keeps the fun going! An ideal home for Latte would be one with an active family who can keep up with her playful nature, and a fenced-in yard where she can run and explore. Latte loves to curl up on the couch with her humans after a fun day of play and is always looking for cuddles. She is a total lap dog at heart and enjoys snuggling up next to you for some quality bonding time. She is house-trained and crate trained. We are unfortunately having to rehome our dog, Latte, due to severe allergies in our household. She is back with the foster who pulled her fro Dallas Animal Services in late 2022. The adopter reported instances of aggression and resource guarding, but she has been on her best behavior since arriving back in Dallas. We had her evaluated by a trainer, who reports that she is a dominant personality who needs consistent reinforcement of her place in the hierarchy. The foster reports that she is smart and knows basic commands. She can be pushy, but takes correction well. She is high energy, loves to play with the other dogs in the household and is very affectionate. She is leash trained, crate trained and housebroken, up to date on shots and heart worm negative. She will do well with an experienced owner and the rescue will include a session with the trainer to teach the new owner techniques for avoiding issues. He is fully vetted and has been well cared for - sadly his owners could not care for him any longer and they made the tough decision to give him up. We will find the perfect fur-ever home for this boy. Scooter is a lovable and charming boy with a playful side. He loves snuggling on the couch with his humans and enjoys a good game of fetch or tug-of-war with his toys. When he's craving attention, he’s not shy about speaking up, guiding you to whatever he desires—whether it’s a toy, treat, or even a walk around the block. During the day, he likes to sit by the front window, observing the cars, dogs, and kids passing by. Scooter is a smart dog who’s learned to use the dog door, but he’s also trained to ring a bell when he needs to go outside. He gets along well with medium to large dogs, though his interactions with cats and smaller dogs are unknown. While he’s making great strides in his training, there are a few behavioral quirks we're working on. If he’s resting near his human and they move or touch him, he will startle and bark, so we gently speak to him before we make a move. Scooter is also not fond of nail trims, ear cleanings, or having his nose touched, and he requires a moderate sedative for these vet visits. Despite these challenges, the vet has seen significant improvement in his behavior.
