Bourbon is still learning to trust the world around him and can be nervous in new situations, but he finds comfort in the company of other dogs and enjoys following their lead. Having a confident canine companion in his forever home would help him continue building confidence and feeling secure.Bourbon came to Mutts N Such Rescue alongside his mama and her newborn puppies after they had been living outside in a backyard and shed. His mama is a Chihuahua, and the neighbor’s scruffy white dog is said to be his dad, giving Bourbon his adorable unique look. Because of his past, he will need continued patience, understanding, and guidance while adjusting to life as a loved family member.Bourbon is also considered a flight risk, so he will need a home committed to careful introductions, secure fencing, and extra precautions to help keep him safe while he continues gaining confidence. Beneath his cautious exterior is a sweet boy who deserves the chance to finally relax, feel secure, and know what it means to be truly loved. He was born in May 2024 and is being fostered in Fort Worth, Texas.OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS OR PENNSYLVANIA BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
