He’s a sweet boy who loves cuddles, belly rubs, and soaking up the sun. While he enjoys being around people, he’s more of an independent guy when it comes to other dogs. Dewey does have some food-guarding behaviors, so he’s currently fed separately and we’re actively working with him on this. He did have a bite incident in a previous foster home, but he’s had no issues in his current placement. Because of this, we’re recommending a home without young children—dog-savvy older kids would be just fine. He’s not a big barker, is comfortable in a crate, and would do best with someone who understands his needs and can continue helping him build confidence.
