Story
Meet Truffle — an adorable 6-month-old, 8.5 lb little girl with the happiest spirit despite a heartbreaking past.   Truffle was rescued from a terrible situation where she reportedly spent months confined inside a cabinet . Thankfully, those days are forever behind her, and this resilient puppy is now discovering how wonderful life can be.   Despite everything she endured, Truffle is incredibly loving, forgiving, playful, and full of joy. She absolutely lights up when she plays with her toys and chews, and walks are her favorite adventure. Every sound, smell, and new experience fills her with excitement — she bounces and leaps through the world like a tiny little gazelle. “Leaping Lizards” should honestly be her nickname!   Because Truffle had never received proper veterinary care before rescue, we’ve already started getting her healthy and ready for her forever home. She has received: • Core puppy vaccines • Deworming • Flea/tick treatment • Microchip   Her rabies vaccine and spay will also be included as part of her adoption.   Truffle is looking for a loving family that will cherish her the way she always deserved. She has so much love, personality, and happiness packed into her tiny little body.   For more information about Truffle, contact: 949-842-2517 greendogfoundation@gmail.com   To apply for adoption: Green Dog Foundation Adoption Application   Puppy adoption donation is $600 and includes vaccines/boosters, rabies vaccine, spay, microchip, and flea/tick treatment.    May 19, 2026, 8:04 pm

Story
Hello all, my former husband I adopted Ducky from the shelter about 4 years ago, with some known issues of severe separation anxiety. He used to work remotely and so we felt that any issues he had we would be able to overcome, as well as hoping that our two other dogs at home would help with his situation. We are unfortunately going through a divorce and as I work 12 hour shifts outside of the home feel I am unable to provide Ducky with the care and companionship he needs. I did attempt some boarding school training and medications, but nothing seems to really have helped except for having his human around. He is a very sweet dog, loves people, and is fairly obsessed with toys. He is always excited to follow his human around and when the human in question is still, he will curl up right next to them and take a nap. He loves his greenie teething treats and to have his toys thrown, even though sometimes he loses track of them, or forgets to bring them back.

Story
The application is the first step in the adoption process, so if you are interested in adopting please fill out the online adoption application  first by visiting our website at www.dachshundpaws.org    Blueberry is a 6-year-old, 17-pound mixed breed who is looking for a fresh start after being returned to our care. Despite the change, his loving personality continues to shine through—he absolutely adores his people and forms strong, loyal bonds with the adults in his life. Blueberry is looking for a home with no children.  Blueberry can be a little protective of that love and attention (he doesn’t always enjoy sharing lap time!), but he’s been making great progress and just needs a patient, dog-savvy owner to guide him and reinforce healthy boundaries. He truly wants to do well and thrives with structure and understanding. The good news? Blueberry does well with other dogs in general, and he has shown wonderful improvement around new people. In his foster home, he’s been welcoming visitors like a champ!  Blueberry would do best in a home with someone who understands his quirks and is committed to helping him continue building confidence. In return, you’ll get a deeply devoted, affectionate companion who just wants to be your #1. He’s ready to find his forever family—could that be you? Blueberry's adoption fee: $150We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit. At that time we will bring the dog to the home in which you will all be sharing. We ask the entire family to be there that day. If we all agree on the placement, then the dog will stay with you that day.  Please visit our website at www.dachshundpaws.org    May 15, 2026, 1:08 am
