Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Meet Preston,  he’s a sweet and loving pup who’s looking for a foster home until April—or even better, a forever home to call his own! Preston is full of love and personality, always ready to brighten your day. He’s not good with cats whatsoever, so we’re looking for a home with no cats at all. Other than that, he’s an absolute sweetheart who just wants a comfy place and kind humans to call family.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Story
Not only is this girl drop dead gorgeous, but you can probably tell by looking at her pictures, that FUN is her middle name! She has an exuberant personality…full of energy, she’s lively & outgoing, making her a lot of fun to be around! Molly seems to love everybody that she meets, adults as well as children, but she might be a little over the top for small kids. She gets along great with other active dogs…NO CATS though. She’s not always full steam ahead, she also enjoys cuddling and belly rubs at the end of the day! All this sweet girl needs now is an active family to love her and include her in their everyday comings and goings. Molly is 3 years old, weighs 27 pounds, has been spayed, microchipped, 4DX heartworm tested, fecal tested, current on all vaccinations, worming and is on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Molly is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the New England area every week and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to those states.

Story
Mateo is a 7 month old neutered male cockapoo who weighs 21 pounds. These pups lived their entire lives in a shed and came to us very matted. After a haircut and some good treats, they blossomed right out of their shells and became our best friends. They have tested great with other dogs, wag their tails like crazy and come when called. Do you have room in your heart and home for a cute puppy!? ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! ADOPTED! MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Hedy. My owner lived in a senior living community. Eventually, she had to go into memory care. The kind people at the senior living community took care of me so I could be with my owner until the end. Now that she is gone, the managers of the community felt I needed a new home to call my own so they asked CSAC to help find me a new home. I am fantastic with people, I was surrounded by over a hundred every day. I am not very good with other dogs especially high energy dogs who get too close too quickly. I am house trained and good with children. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Teddy. I were rescued from a hoarding situation, and my rescuer asked CSAC to help find me a new home. I am friendly, but right now I am a bit nervous since I am not sure what is happening to me right now. I lived with a hoarder with a lot of other animals. My pictures show that I was not well cared for. I feel better now that I was groomed. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I tested positive for Lyme and Anaplasmosis disease, but I am taking medication for that. I do have a grade 3 of 6 heart murmur, but everything else is ok. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon.
