Story
✨Meet Christof!✨ Christof is a 1-year-old Cocker Spaniel mix who came into us as a surrender from a commercial breeding facility (aka Puppy Mill) in Lancaster County. Christof had a very difficult life before coming to us, being used as a breeder dog his entire life. He is shut down at this time but is slowly starting to give us his trust. We are confident he will make a wonderful family member for a very lucky family, who understands his past and gives him the time he needs to trust them and his new surroundings. Christof loves other animals, and will thrive in a home with at least one other dog. Adopting a puppy mill survivor is life-changing—for you and them. For these dogs, everything is new and often overwhelming: people, houses, stairs, leashes, food bowls, collars, toys, TVs, ovens, doorways, pavement…the list goes on. They need adopters who can move slowly, be patient, keep expectations reasonable, and provide the understanding and tools they need to grow into happy, confident companions. Patience, positive reinforcement, and understanding are key! We promise there is nothing that compares to gaining the love and trust of a puppy mill survivor, but it requires intentional effort and commitment from their new family. With the right guidance, puppy mill survivors can blossom into well-socialized, joyful dog- so our goal is always to ensure every adopter is fully prepared to give them the life and environment they need to truly thrive! If you are interested in being considered for them please apply on our website at www.angelsretreat.org 💕🐾 Angel’s Retreat West Chester, PA PA Kennel License 17335

Story
Bonnie is a 3 year old spayed female cockapoo who weighs 16 pounds. This cutie came to us severely matted and needed to be fully shaved. We know that she is feeling so much better and she would do best in a calmer home where she can take time to warm up and get used to home living. Bonnie has tested great with other dogs, loves to explore the fenced in yard and even likes to sit on laps too. Story
Cotton is a 9 year old spayed female cocker spaniel who weighs 27 pounds. She was with her family since she was a puppy and recently they decided they could no longer provide for her. Understandable, her entire world was upside down and she did have a little bit of a rough period. When a volunteer had her out and about, she was a real gem. She was used to driving in a tractor trailer truck all of the US and loves being in the car. Cotton walks well on the leashm bonds closely to her person and has tested well with the other dogs. At the shelter she is shut down and has no idea how she ended up here. Do you have room in your home to spoil this senior girl rotten? If you are interested in adopting, please submit an adoption application on our website www.justice-rescue.comJustice Rescue - 17663Malvern, PA 19355

Story
Cam is a 7 month old neutered male cocker spaniel who weighs 30 pounds. These pups were rescued from poor conditions and have never looked back. They have started to warm up to us and love to play, run around and are accepting treats as well. They have tested well with other dogs and would do best in a home with another dog to help them feel more comfortable. Their new families should be prepared to socialize them and work on potty training once in a home.
