Story
Granite was surrendered when his owner could no longer care for him. He is a 1-year-old, cocker spaniel/poodle mix. He is a happy go lucky guy that was really in need of a groom when he arrived. Granite loves to go to the play yard to play and enjoys being with you! He would love to have a second chance at a loving forever home soon! He will need someone that understands that he will need regular grooming to keep him from getting matted. Granite prefers a home with older respectful children. Granite was neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/Lyme tested (negative), and microchipped since his arrival at the shelter.Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter5051 Letterkenny Road West Chambersburg, PA 17201Kennel License#2090To Apply: http://www.cvas-pets.org/

Story
Toby, His momma came to us in heat and we wanted to wait to make sure that she was not pregnant before taking her to the vet to get spayed. We took her for her spay appointment and were informed that she had "four little peanuts inside". We are so thankful that they were not aborted as they are the most precious little smart, healthy, happy, playful, adorable puppies of the year! They are fully litter box trained and/or go outside to do their business.. But it is wonderful during bad weather to have them litter box trained and not have to mess with puppy pads. They have had all of their vaccines and are fully vetted and ready for a great home! Call 606-783-9750 for more info. strayheartsrescue@outlook.com https://forms.gle/suhbpui9RXiVmvoJ9

Story
Nala is the kind of little dog people dream about finding. This beautiful, petite purebred Cocker Spaniel is 4 years old and weighs only about 15 pounds, making her a truly tiny and delicate girl. She was discovered wandering alone in a rural county of Tennessee until a kindhearted Good Samaritan stepped in and contacted rescue so she could finally have a chance at the safe and loving life she deserved.   Now Nala is ready to leave the uncertainty of her past behind and begin the wonderful life that should have always been hers.   When we say Nala is a dream girl, we truly mean it. She has the gentlest soul and the sweetest presence. She is the kind of dog who quietly fills a room with warmth just by being there. Nala loves to be close to her people, sharing soft cuddles, calm companionship, and those soulful Cocker Spaniel eyes that seem to understand everything.   Not long after being rescued, Nala went through treatment for irritable bowel issues that were most likely brought on by the stress of whatever life she lived before she was found. Stress can affect animals deeply, but with proper care and love she has recovered beautifully. Her foster family is committed to making sure her life from now on is peaceful, predictable, and full of kindness. And truly, Nala deserves nothing less. This precious blonde angel gets along wonderfully with everyone she meets. She is great with people, gentle with other animals, and has the lovely manners that make her such an easy companion to have in the home. She is housebroken, well behaved, and simply a joy to live with.   Her foster mom absolutely adores her and says that Nala is one of the best dogs she has ever had in her home. That is high praise for a dog who seems to bring calm, sweetness, and quiet happiness wherever she goes.   No dog is perfect, but Nala comes awfully close. She is the kind of companion who will make your heart feel fuller every single day. If you have been hoping for a sweet, gentle Cocker Spaniel to share your life with, Nala may be the girl who was meant for you.   Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to learn more about adopting this precious little dream girl.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
.DOB 12-28-2024 Fuzzy, happy and sweet. This gorgeous little girl is ready for her home and family. Up to date on shots and all medical. Colette is social, loves to play and gets along with everyone. Colette will be around 25 pounds as an adult, she is spayed, heartworm negative and is on ProHeart6 heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is 750.00, transport fee is 165.00 The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog. Please visit our website - www.cockeradoptions.org   There, you will find the current status of the dog, the links to our adoption and foster applications, and detailed information about our adopting and fostering procedures.   MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Blue, and I just arrived at CSAC from a shelter. The best home for me has people who have dog experience. I need a calm home with a fenced yard so I can run and play. I like riding in a car, but I am not fond of meeting other dogs when on a leash. I get scared and over react. I am not good at meeting strangers so I need an owner who can make the best decisions for me when people come to visit. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished pet. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. Please visit our website - www.cockeradoptions.org   There, you will find the current status of the dog, the links to our adoption and foster applications, and detailed information about our adopting and fostering procedures.   MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Rollie. My owner was moving and could not take me with her so she asked CSAC to help find me a new home. I am a special needs dog. I will walk and run in circles. The best guess is that I was born this way. If I am really focusing on something, I can walk in a straight line. When I am anxious or excited, I will circle. I have glaucoma. My right eye had to be removed, and I get drops in my left eye. I am house trained and crate trained. I have lived with cats but not other dogs. I love to play with toys, swim and explore. I should be in a home with a fenced in yard because I could trip up people with a leash. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon.
