Sadie is a 4MO adorable Mutt.  Sadie and her 3 siblings were found abandoned on the side of the road in Texas.  We are guessing she will be about 35-45lbs when full grown. We don't know how many of them there were originally, but unfortunately it's safe to assume there were others that didn't make it.  Once they were rescued they were brought to a local vet to get the proper care and support they needed since they were emaciated and dehydrated.  Once sadie and her siblings were healthy and stable, they made their way to our rescue here in CO where we are hoping they find families of their very own.  Here is what Sadie's foster Momma has to say about her: "This little pup is a bit shy at first but with treats and a few good belly rubs she’ll become your best friend! Once she’s comfortable with you, she won’t leave your side! Sadie’s a quick learner and is very treat motivated. She’s already learned sit and is doing really well with potty training. She sleeps through the night in her crate. We highly recommend having a crate for her at her new home. While she’d love to sleep with you, she has a very positive tie to her crate and we can tell it’s a place of security for her. Sadie is incredibly sweet and does well with other dogs. We’re working on walking a leash but she's doing great so far! She is loving and snuggly and it's been so fun to watch her learn how great humans and life can be when she isn't trying to survive on the side of the road." Meet Nala! This gentle girl is still learning that the world isn’t quite as intimidating as it sometimes seems. She can be timid in new situations, but with patience, consistency, and a little encouragement, her confidence is steadily beginning to grow. Nala is making great progress on leash walks and has even started offering playful invitations to the younger (and very playful) resident dog. She would benefit from having a confident canine companion in her new home—someone who can help show her the ropes and remind her that new experiences aren’t so scary. At home, Nala has some important skills already mastered. She is potty trained and genuinely enjoys the peace and quiet of her crate, giving her a comfortable place to relax and decompress. She is also gentle with older children, though a quieter home with kids ages 12+ would be the best fit for her. Nala isn’t looking for someone to rush her. She’s looking for a patient, steady family willing to give her clear expectations, positive experiences, and the time she needs to settle in. With the right support—and ideally a confident canine friend by her side—we think there’s a wonderfully sweet, playful dog waiting to show more and more of herself. Nala is a 4-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $100 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, dental, and spay. Nala is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. She is not tested with cats. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals.
