Story
Peabody's journey began when he was discovered as a stray, wandering the streets alone. After spending five days in "doggie jail," he found his way to the rescue  in search of a loving forever home. This charming pup is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all his vaccinations, ready to embark on the next chapter of his life. Described as a good boy with a heart full of love and energy, Peabody thrives in the company of an active family who can provide him with plenty of attention and playtime. He's adept at navigating the ins and outs of home life, being house, crate, and doggie door trained. While he hasn't been tested with cats, he's known to get along well with female dogs. However, Peabody does have a tendency to engage in fence fights with other dogs in his vicinity, which may require some training and supervision to manage. Despite this challenge, his affectionate nature shines through, making him a delightful companion for the right family. Since October of 2022, Peabody has been patiently waiting for his perfect match at the rescue, eager to find a forever home where he can shower his new family with love and joy. ##1563395##

Story
Meet Bentley, a young, sweet, and somewhat shy dog. He`s got a gentle soul that`s just waiting to be nurtured. Bentley thrives best in the company of other dogs, finding comfort and companionship in their presence. He`s not just looking for a home, he`s looking for a friend. A companion who can help him come out of his shell and show the world just how amazing he truly is. Bentley`s journey hasn`t been easy, but his spirit remains unbroken. He`s ready to start a new chapter, to create a new narrative filled with love, trust, and mutual respect. Bentley deserves a chance to be part of a loving family, to experience the joy of a warm bed, and the thrill of a game of fetch in a backyard. Adopt Bentley and give him the opportunity to live the life he deserves.

Story
Rolly revels in having his belly rubbed while holding a tennis ball in his mouth! Still very much a puppy at the age of one, he’s 40 pounds of sweetness, friendliness and happiness once he feels comfortable around new people. Supremely loving towards his foster dad, he adores being the object of his attention, wants to be near him at all times, snuggling and cuddling, resting his head on him and sleeping on him. Blessed with the widest and warmest smile, Rolly also loves being outside, going for walks, runs and hikes, playing fetch and engaging with other equally friendly dogs. Passionate about PLAYING, he LOVES tennis balls and toys, particularly small plush toys, is, not surprisingly, motivated by toys and love, and currently knows “sit” and “no.” Never crated, at work on his puppy manners and house-training, Rolly relishes the idea of life in an extremely loving home, preferably with older children, that will polish his manners, complete his training, including his commands, and keep him happily active fur-ever.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. Story
Cooper, Blue Heeler, 4.5 yrs., 40-45 lbs. Cooper tends to be shy at first but warms up pretty quick. He has a lot of energy and loves playing with Junie going on walks and exploring with her. He LOVES attention. He is a very loving and loyal dog with the silliest personality. I think he may be more human than dog. He gets along with other dogs but does take a minute to acclimate to them. He loves to give kisses (I think he was a lizard in his past life…hahaha). Junie, Australian Shepherd/Heeler, 4.5 yrs., 40-45 lbs. Junie is a very loving and loyal dog. She is the boss and loves keeping Cooper in line. She likes to go on walks and explore with him. She gets along with other dogs great, but she will growl when she has had her fill. She will not nip or bite. She is a bit more relaxed and laid back than Cooper, but still loves to play around with him. She also is a bit of an attention hog. She will stare through your soul until you acknowledge her. She is very in tune with human emotion and will snuggle with you when you are sad. She’s a very sweet soul. She also may be more human than dog. They are a bonded pair. They have grown up together and I would hate to separate them. They are soulmates and I would love for them to stay together. I understand that this is a lot to ask, but they are so worth it! We are having to re-home them due to a move across the country. This means we will be living out of a small camper and traveling all over the southeast. I don’t feel that this is a fair life for my pups to live. They love to run and play, and they wouldn’t get this freedom if they came with us.
