Despy is an adorable youngster with perfectly pointy ears! He is a bit overwhelmed by life in the shelter and he is looking for a gentle and patient adopter that can help him gain confidence around new places and new people. Despy might also appreciate living with an older, more confident canine that can help show him the ropes! Sadie is a 4MO adorable Mutt.  Sadie and her 3 siblings were found abandoned on the side of the road in Texas.  We are guessing she will be about 35-45lbs when full grown. We don't know how many of them there were originally, but unfortunately it's safe to assume there were others that didn't make it.  Once they were rescued they were brought to a local vet to get the proper care and support they needed since they were emaciated and dehydrated.  Once sadie and her siblings were healthy and stable, they made their way to our rescue here in CO where we are hoping they find families of their very own.  Here is what Sadie's foster Momma has to say about her: "This little pup is a bit shy at first but with treats and a few good belly rubs she’ll become your best friend! Once she’s comfortable with you, she won’t leave your side! Sadie’s a quick learner and is very treat motivated. She’s already learned sit and is doing really well with potty training. Her shelter paperwork lists her as a Collie, but one look at this fluffy little lady and you’ll likely agree she’s much more of a Pomgi (Pomeranian/Corgi mix)! At 15 years young, Sassy has perfected the art of enjoying the good life: snuggling with her people, collecting affection, enjoying her favorite treats, and taking in the neighborhood from her stroller. She may be a little chunky, but she’s absolutely adorable and has plenty of love left to give! Sassy is a low-energy girl who would much rather relax beside her favorite person than run marathons. She enjoys short strolls, car rides, itty-bitty stuffed toys, and all the treats she’s allowed to have. While she’s definitely not looking to become a fitness influencer, she does need to get some steps in each day to help her shed a few pounds and stay healthy. Her signature move is resting her whole body on you and giving you a thousand kisses. She’s also a bit of a mama’s girl and will do her best to keep you in sight, even if navigating the stairs takes a little extra effort. Sassy is also the PERFECT brewery dog, if that’s your thing! This girl will charm the pants off everyone she meets! With her adorable face and friendly personality, she’ll have everyone wrapped around her little paw in no time. She’s happy to hang out with her person and make new friends along the way. Just be prepared for her to steal the show! Sassy gets along well with dogs of all sizes and seems especially fond of puppies, although she isn’t afraid to speak her mind when a younger pup gets too enthusiastic or another dog invades her personal space. She’s also perfectly fine with cats and generally ignores them. She hasn’t met children in her foster home, but her sweet, easygoing nature suggests she could do well with kids of any age who know how to treat an older dog gently and respectfully. Sassy has some significant medical needs, including severe hip dysplasia, advanced arthritis, mobility challenges, and chronic ear infections. She’s receiving medication to help manage her pain and keep her comfortable, and she has shown improvement with treatment. She also has some hearing loss, so she likely won't respond when you call her name. She appears to be mostly housetrained, though she occasionally uses a potty pad indoors. She does well when left home with other dogs for several hours and doesn't need a crate; a comfortable, safe space to relax is much more her style. Sassy needs a mellow, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years in comfort. With her mobility limitations, a home without lots of stairs would be ideal, but she still wants to be included in her people's daily activities. A cozy bed, gentle strolls, and someone committed to managing her medical needs will go a long way toward keeping her happy. Her foster family has even installed a bed rail to prevent her from accidentally falling off the bed at night! Sassy may be a little bit of a hot mess, but she's a happy one! She has so much love to give and deserves to spend her remaining years surrounded by people who adore her. Meet Capri, the sunshine dog! Capri is the sweetest pup you’ll ever meet. She absolutely loves people and has a warm, loving personality that makes her a joy to be around. When meeting new dogs, Capri can be nervous and may snap out of fear. She needs slow, patient introductions and time to feel comfortable. Once she gets used to another dog, she tends to relax and let go of some of her anxiety. She would do best with a dog who respects her space and isn’t constantly in her face. Capri enjoys getting outside for walks, and we’re currently working on improving her leash manners. She does very well with house training and rarely has accidents indoors, except occasionally when she has an upset stomach. Capri’s daily routine: Breakfast: 7:00 a.m. Dinner: 7:00 p.m. Favorite activities: Spending time with people and going for walks. What she needs: Patience with dog introductions, a little personal space, and lots of love. With her sunny personality and loving heart, Capri has so much affection to give. Tobi is 4 years old, he loves to play with toys and fetching is his favorite game. He can run run run and keep running. He needs to get exercise. I don’t have the time he needs, he ends up in a kennel most of the time. I love him and he's so smart. I just can’t be what he needs anymore. I want him to be happy and loved. He gets along pretty well with smaller dogs for the most part. Tobi had some trouble getting along with people but he seems fine with strangers now after working on it with him. He has been around cats and does okay but he does like to play and chase, he doesn’t hurt them. He’s a sweet boy, sometimes he will calm down enough to cuddle. But he’s very smart, knows words like wait, sit, high five, shakes with both hands. I just want him to be able to go outside and run to his hearts content.

Oakley, Red Heeler, 4 yrs., male. Oakley is a little hesitant to meet a new person but once he knows you, he is very loving and loves attention. He walks well on a leash, is food motivated, quick to learn, and knows basic training skills. He needs to go to a home with no other pets but out in public he does fine when passing dogs on the street he just doesn’t want to live with them. He was surrendered by his owner.
