Story
My given name is Dolly Holly, but my foster family calls me Dior because I am bougie. I am an 8 year old collie mix and I weigh 55 pounds.   I am a high maintenance girl who likes things just so, I can be shy when you first meet me. I definitely prefer women to men, but will warm up once I know you. I LOVE walks and sitting outside or playing with a tennis ball, if I am in the mood I will fetch.     I love food, belly rubs, snuggling, and being brushed. I very much dislike nail trims and bathes. Yuck!    I am fine with other dogs if you introduce me properly, but ultimately, I love my person more than playing with dogs. If you are my person I will escort you everywhere. I am also fine with older kids, but I get nervous with babies and toddlers who move quickly.     I might try to sit on your lap despite being too big. Remember it's all about me!   Are you looking for that special someone to love and spoil? If so, I might be your girl!     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.  http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms     Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.           June 21, 2024, 3:27 pm

Korra is a six year old rescue who loves rolling in the grass and cuddling with her humans. She is great with kids and affectionate, housebroken and crate trained. She knows Sit, Stay, Lay Down, With Me (for running and bike rides), Leave It, Outside, Up and Stop along with Hush and Silencio Por Favor. I have had her since she was a puppy when she was rescued from a breeding shelter in Kentucky. She is spayed and microchipped, and has great recall. She also responds to her full name!

Story
LOOKING FOR MY PERFECT MATCH:  Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 67 lbs.    Hello, I’m Smiley!  Take one look at my pic, and you will know why my Mostly Mutts name suits me – lol.   I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and have been busy charming the volunteers with my cuteness and personality ever since.  I bet you will love me too!  I am doing some guarding of my room/crate, and my trainer would be happy to tell you more about that. Let’s meet soon and see if I am your new furry family member!  I got to spend some time in the foster/training program offsite and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met dogs recently at Mostly Mutts and was friendly with them as long as we were playing away from my room or crate, which I guard. If you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet with my trainer. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, but because I guard my room/crate, and have bitten over this, so if you have older teens such as 15+ that know not to take things from me, or reach into my crate, let’s meet. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I have a super sweet and loving disposition.  I’m playful, friendly and – true to my collie mix – pretty smart, too!  When the play is done, I also love to chill with my people.  / My energy level is 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts, although I do guard my crate.  My trainer is working with me on this and has taught me to ‘sit’ and wait in my ‘place’ while my crate is cleaned.  Still, items should not be taken from my crate with me present.  / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home.     • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like toys and am always ready for some play time with my people!  The volunteers say I am ‘all smiles’ when out and about on my walks.  My first shelter bath was scary for me, but I did much better the second time and loved the brushing of my coat that went with it – which is good, because I do need a good brushing from time to time.  Being near my people makes me a happy guy – especially when belly rubs are involved.  Recently, I took my job as ‘front desk assistant’ at the shelter very seriously – placing my paws on the volunteers’ laps to let them know they are loved!  I am happiest when away from my crate, and when I am outside, I am a super happy go lucky guy! / Other than the above-mentioned guarding of my room/crate, I can’t think of any other dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.   • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future.  I have a significant underbite, but it doesn’t bother me, and some even say it makes me cuter.  I am looking for a great home where I will be a cherished family member!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  June 21, 2024, 8:50 am

Story
Sabrina is an amazing dog who just needs someone willing to work with her. She is amazing with children (just needs work on being too excited around small children but has gotten much better with our fosters 2 year old)  She is most definitely mixed with a working breed - she needs consistent exercise to be a calm house dog and will become destructive if her mind isn’t stimulated. She absolutely loves sniff walks and fetch to wear her out and work her brain.  She will need a more involved owner who understands her needs. She has a lot of allergies and our vet believes her skin issues may just be a chronic life long struggle. She is taking 1/2 an apoquel a day and her foster supplements with calming treats and allergy/immune boost treats daily. We have not done an elimination diet to determine exact allergies, but she is currently eating Rachel Ray Limited Ingredient (Just 6 depending on bag design/store) Lamb flavor and has been doing better!  She still has bald spots and flare ups if the weather is bad or she gets stressed out. We’re working on determining when it happens to try and eliminate the flare ups so her hair can grow back fully. Currently all 4 shoulders have some degree of baldness and occasional bumps from her chewing, but I’ve been keeping sweaters on her and the calming treats to try and get her to leave the area alone long enough for the hair to grow back.  She’s got some unique quirks that make her even more special! She is  described as being cat like - she absolutely loves to be up high looking over everything. When outside, she can be found hopping onto the patio table to look in windows or take a nap. She’s also been caught napping on top of book shelves or any surface big enough to hold her body and she’ll curl up like she’s meant to be there!   She has no fear when it comes to humans, but can be skittish in the house when it comes to switching rooms or entering/exiting like she’s unsure what will come from the other room. She does alright with other dogs in neutral territory, but does resource guard her food, kennel, and occasionally the fosters sun room if she can see the other dogs filtering in and out while she’s hanging out in there. However, she responds incredibly well to correction and is eager to please! With or without treats, she loves to practice new skills and is working incredibly hard to be calm in the house! She still has trouble channeling her energy some days if she hasn’t had enough stimulation, but you can see how hard she tries to maintain composure during training sessions!  She’s a work in progress, but her personality and temperament are perfect for someone looking for a loyal dog that’s willing to do anything from cuddle on the couch to adventure with them!   https://www.pupandcatco.com/Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.We do not have a shelter facility and our pets are housed in foster homes, vet clinics and local boarding facilities. Many of our adoptable pets attend adoption events each Saturday at Mall of Georgia Petsmart in Buford, Georgia from 11:30-3:00 pm Please check with us to find out if a particular pet will be available.
