Meet Bud! Bud is a senior Collie mix with a beautiful coat and soulful eyes! This handsome boy is 55 pounds of quiet sweetness and gentle charm with endless amounts of love to give! Bud is a low-energy boy who enjoys a peaceful routine. He walks nicely on a leash, knows his basic commands, and is both house and crate trained -- making him an easy, comfortable companion for a calm home. Bud came from a heartbreaking hoarding situation where he lived among nearly 150 other dogs. Because of that, he didn't get the individual attention and socialization he deserved, and he can be a little skittish when meeting new people. But underneath that initial shyness is a tender, loyal heart just waiting to bond with his person. One thing that truly brings Bud joy is playing with other dogs. He feels most comfortable around his furry friends and loves spending time with them. A home with another friendly dog and a fenced-in backyard where he can safely hang out, explore, and play would be ideal for him. Bud can also live with cats, making him a wonderful option for a multi-pet household. With patience, kindness, and consistency, Bud truly blossoms. He doesn't need much -- just someone willing to move at his pace, focus on him, and show him what it truly means to be loved. Looking for an adoption path for Cookie, a sweet 10-year-old Collie mix. Her aging owner suffered an injury and can no longer able to care for her. Extended family is helping rehome.The Good Stuff: She is super sweet once she gets comfortable with her people and is very food-motivated, which makes bonding and routines really straightforward. She'd love to have someone whom she can sit near all day long. Her different colored eyes are adorable. She's a good car rider, too.Home Setup: She likely needs to be the only pet (no dogs or cats) and would do best in a quiet, female-only home or with a patient owner, as she can be picky around men. She has lived with another dog, but must be the alpha, and can get food and leash aggressive.Daily Routine: She does great on a predictable potty schedule, but needs someone home often enough to keep that consistent so she doesn't have accidents. Something like 3 outings a day is likely sufficient.

I know somebody loved this dog! Found as a stray near an apple orchard, this gorgeous brown-eyed girl knew commands, was potty trained, and walks beautifully on leash… but nobody came for her. She has proven to be a goofy, playful, super affectionate and fiercely loyal companion! Her standard greeting is to roll over for belly rubs, but if you happen to encounter a tiger or bear on your morning walk… She’s going to be in between you and that animal. She is suspected to be some type of cattle dog mix, and shows some herding drive, so she is probably not the dog for you if your household consists of toddlers, squirrels, and Chihuahuas. But she enjoys the company of dogs who don’t “skitter around!” She would love a family who wants an affectionate ride or die companion.
