Yankee is an 8 month old male Collie / Lab mix who’s just as beautiful inside as he is out. With his sunny personality and sweet smile, he brightens every space he’s in. Yankee walks well on a leash, making walks around the neighborhood easy and very pleasant. This sweet friendly pup happily greets people, wagging his tail and always ready to make new friends. Yankee enjoys playing with toys or with his doggie pals in adjacent play areas, but he especially lovvvves getting to spend time with his human friends. Overall, Yankee is an absolute gem - loving, super sweet, full of heart - and just waiting to be discovered by his forever family. Could that be you? Come meet this wonderful boy and find out, Yankee can’t wait to meet you!  The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.January 27, 2026, 8:00 pm

Very easy, attentive, well trained. Tyson is a great companion to anyone looking for a more calm and relaxed dog. He loves to be snuggled and lay next to you on the couch. He still has a good bit of energy to go and play outside. He is super friendly with other dogs and people. Tyson is a very loving dog that needs a home that will show him the same amount of love. Tyson is very smart, and is very attentive to his owners commands.    He responds to come, sit, lay, shake. He has a very calm temper. He may be 11 but he's very healthy and has a ton of life left, he just won't overwhelm you with it.  He's the perfect speed.  Age: 11 years   WT: 48lbs. Temperament: Good with all people, and dogs   Vetting: Neutered, up to date on vaccines, HW negative and on prevention   Training: House trained, crate trained,  Tyson is very smart, he responds to come, sit, lay, shake. He has a very calm temper.
