Story
I know somebody loved this dog! Found as a stray near an apple orchard, this gorgeous brown-eyed girl knew commands, was potty trained, and walks beautifully on leash… but nobody came for her. She has proven to be a goofy, playful, super affectionate and fiercely loyal companion! Her standard greeting is to roll over for belly rubs, but if you happen to encounter a tiger or bear on your morning walk… She’s going to be in between you and that animal. She is suspected to be some type of cattle dog mix, and shows some herding drive, so she is probably not the dog for you if your household consists of toddlers, squirrels, and Chihuahuas. But she enjoys the company of dogs who don’t “skitter around!” She would love a family who wants an affectionate ride or die companion. Bonus points if you don’t mind having the side of your face, licked off! Please text 770-209-2142 or email fosterpassthrough@gmail.com for more info!

Story
Meet Bud! Bud is a senior Collie mix with a beautiful coat and soulful eyes! This handsome boy is 55 pounds of quiet sweetness and gentle charm with endless amounts of love to give! Bud is a low-energy boy who enjoys a peaceful routine. He walks nicely on a leash, knows his basic commands, and is both house and crate trained -- making him an easy, comfortable companion for a calm home. Bud came from a heartbreaking hoarding situation where he lived among nearly 150 other dogs. Because of that, he didn't get the individual attention and socialization he deserved, and he can be a little skittish when meeting new people. But underneath that initial shyness is a tender, loyal heart just waiting to bond with his person. One thing that truly brings Bud joy is playing with other dogs. He feels most comfortable around his furry friends and loves spending time with them. A home with another friendly dog and a fenced-in backyard where he can safely hang out, explore, and play would be ideal for him. Bud can also live with cats, making him a wonderful option for a multi-pet household. With patience, kindness, and consistency, Bud truly blossoms. He doesn't need much -- just someone willing to move at his pace, focus on him, and show him what it truly means to be loved. In return, he will offer unwavering loyalty and the kind of unconditional love only a grateful dog can give. Bud is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated -- ready to start his new chapter. If you'd like to be the hero this beautiful boy has been waiting for, please inquire at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or fill out an application at www.barkvilledogrescue.org. Bud has been waiting a long time for his person. Maybe that person is you! BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from his foster home.September 14, 2026, 6:45 pm

Story
We are looking for a new home for our dog, Blaze. We have had him since he was a puppy, and he just turned one year old last month. Unfortunately, we need to re-home him because we have exceeded the pet limit at our residence. Following a recent home inspection, our landlord informed us that we have too many pets in the household. Blaze is an energetic young dog who loves to run, play, cuddle, and be petted. He has been a wonderful companion for our twin girls, and we want to ensure he finds a loving environment.

Story
Lemonade is an 8-week-old female mixed breed. She’s currently (sept 15) 5.5 lbs and very much a lap-puppy! Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
A very special girl is looking for her next family ❤️🐾 Meet Gracie, our sweet 10-year-old Border Collie mix. Gracie came into our lives as a rescue when she was just 1 year old, and she’s been a beloved member of our family for the past 10 years. She’s 47 lbs., spayed, in great health, and wonderful with children and other dogs. She’s had a stable, loving home her entire adult life and is looking for a family who can give her the companionship and attention she deserves in this next chapter. This is an incredibly difficult decision for us and is being made only because our work now requires extensive travel and we’re away much more than we used to be. Gracie deserves a home where her people are around more consistently. We’re not looking to place her quickly — we’re looking for the right home. Ideally, we’d love someone who wants a wonderful, established companion and understands how special it is to give a senior dog a loving home. Gracie is located in Forsyth County, Georgia.

Story
Smart, spirited, and full of heart - Levi Ahoy is a handsome cattle dog mix ready to find his perfect match! Levi loves people! He is the total package for someone who loves an intelligent, active dog. With his quick mind and expressive eyes, he builds strong bonds and truly connects with his people. He’s incredibly responsive to training, eager to learn, and really thrives when he has a job to do. Whether it’s hikes, long walks, backyard zoomies, puzzle toys, or a game of fetch, Levi is happiest when he’s engaged and included. He’s fully potty trained and has great house manners, making him an easy addition to the right home. He listens beautifully and genuinely wants to get it right. Once he trusts you, his loyalty and affection run deep. Levi does best in a calm, understanding home that respects his space. He can feel stressed if he’s cornered or if his boundaries aren’t respected, but he communicates clearly and responds well to redirection. Given time to warm up at his own pace, like many of us, he truly blossoms. Because of this, Levi is looking for an adult-only home where he can feel secure and supported. For the right person, Levi will be an incredibly devoted companion — smart, adventurous, and full of personality. If you’re looking for a loyal partner who will keep you active and love you wholeheartedly, Levi Ahoy may be your perfect match. Story
Jasper is a wonderful 5 year old Border Collie - Husky mix. He's a fantastic farm dog and very loving once you've established trust. Needs supervision with small children he doesn't know, but is great with kids he knows. My wife has had some health challenges for the last year and she no longer feels confident handling him when I'm away. He would do best with someone who is comfortable with regular training. He takes training well and is accustomed to an e-collar. He needs a place where he can work or run and get his energy out. Good with other dogs unless food is involved. His best friend in the world is a miniature Dachshund. It is heartbreaking to move him, but we know there's a perfect place out there where he'll be happy. And if he's happy, we'll be happy.
