Story
Kaylie is a 1.5-year-old Collie mix with a beautiful, spirited heart and a whole lot of energy to share! Weighing in at 34 pounds, this petite pup was rescued from an overcrowded animal control facility, and now she’s ready for a fresh start with a family who can match her zest for life. Kaylie is a high-energy girl who thrives on activity and would love an adopter who enjoys outdoor adventures, playtime, and plenty of mental stimulation. She's not housetrained just yet, but with patience and consistency, she’s sure to catch on & she’s eager to learn and experience the world beyond the shelter. We're still learning about her unique personality, but what we already know is that this young pup is ready to put her past behind her and run full speed into a brighter future. If you’re looking for a fun, lively companion and are ready to guide her through the basics, Kaylie could be your perfect match. Kaylie weighs 33.6 lbs., is approximately 1.5 years old (est. birth date 09/26/2023), and her adoption fee is $310. Kaylie has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. Story
I’m relocating due to my job and I do alot of traveling and he’s in a lot of doggie hotels and it’s unfair to him. I’m House trained and I love to run. Im great with kids and so lovable and sweet. On preventative medication heart guard and k9 flea guard. I’m up to date on my shots and would love a fenced yard but if not it’s ok. He isn’t neutered but it’s up to my new owners. I’m in need of a new home because I can’t stand another pet hotel.

Story
Interview with Dash:Interviewer: How did you arrive to the Animal Shelter? Dash: Well, I was walking down the street looking for leftover Thanksgiving scraps when I noticed that someone pulled their vehicle over to the side of the road. I assumed they had some scraps for me, so I walked up to them and jumped into their vehicle and guess what, no scraps, how rude!!!! The man who picked me up told me that he didn’t want me to get hurt and took me to the Animal Shelter. Interviewer: Did you like being at the Animal Shelter? Dash: At first no, because there were a lot of rowdy dogs in the area I was staying at. It scared me a bit and I just stayed to myself, but then one day I went out for a walk and they put me in the Administrative Supervisors office, which was awesome. I went from a small apartment to a condo! A big upgrade. Interviewer: What has changed since you arrived at the Animal Shelter?Dash: A lot has changed! When I arrived at the Shelter, I was heartworm positive. I went into a foster home while going through my treatment. Thankfully, my treatment has been completed and starting March 15th, I can return to my normal activities, like playing fetch with a tennis ball and going for long walks! I cannot wait, I’m so excited for this day to arrive. Also, my foster parent wanted to adopt me, which I was super excited about because she has been one of the best foster parents that any dog could ask for, but unfortunately with inflation and being on a limited income, she cannot adopt me. But that’s okay because my forever family is out there, I just know it.Interviewer: What do you look for in a family?Dash: Okay, I am going to be a little picky here. I am a woman’s man, but if the woman I adore has a man in her home, I’ll be okay with that ONLY under these circumstances: 1) Men like to wear these weird things on their heads that scare me sometimes. My foster parent told me those are called “hats”. Not sure what they do, but they sure do scare me and prefer they not be worn when I’m around. 2)No loud power tools in my presence. Those things scare me too.Other than those 2 circumstances, I should be perfectly fine with a male in the home. What will not work for me is children. They scare me as well. Anytime I get scared, I tend to nip at their shoes. I guess it’s the Heeler in me that makes me do that. I am not a fan of cats and I have never met a dog before, so I`m not sure how I`d do with them.Inter

Story
Griffin was attacked by another dog in January 2024 and has since become very aggressive toward other dogs. Initially, it was only dogs he was unfamiliar with or in high-stress situations, but it has progressed to extremely concerning attacks on our 2 other (smaller) dogs in the home. Over the last 15 months, we have worked with 3 separate trainers in the Atlanta area who specialize in aggressive rehabilitation for adult dogs, as well as a vet behaviorist. Unfortunately, all have agreed that he needs to be in a single-family home as he is not specifically trigger responsive, his larger size, and the amount of aggression he demonstrates toward other dogs. Griffin is still extremely affectionate with all people, including children as he was raised around 4 children of varying ages. He is very much a "shadow" dog as he is never far from my side, or accompanying others he considers part of his pact. Additionally, he still has a great temperament with cats. He is fully vetted & trained.
