Story
Meet Bud! Bud is a senior Collie mix with a beautiful coat and soulful eyes! This handsome boy is 55 pounds of quiet sweetness and gentle charm with endless amounts of love to give! Bud is a low-energy boy who enjoys a peaceful routine. He walks nicely on a leash, knows his basic commands, and is both house and crate trained -- making him an easy, comfortable companion for a calm home. Bud came from a heartbreaking hoarding situation where he lived among nearly 150 other dogs. Because of that, he didn't get the individual attention and socialization he deserved, and he can be a little skittish when meeting new people. But underneath that initial shyness is a tender, loyal heart just waiting to bond with his person. One thing that truly brings Bud joy is playing with other dogs. He feels most comfortable around his furry friends and loves spending time with them. A home with another friendly dog and a fenced-in backyard where he can safely hang out, explore, and play would be ideal for him. Bud can also live with cats, making him a wonderful option for a multi-pet household. With patience, kindness, and consistency, Bud truly blossoms. He doesn't need much -- just someone willing to move at his pace, focus on him, and show him what it truly means to be loved. In return, he will offer unwavering loyalty and the kind of unconditional love only a grateful dog can give. Bud is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated -- ready to start his new chapter. If you'd like to be the hero this beautiful boy has been waiting for, please inquire at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or fill out an application at www.barkvilledogrescue.org. Bud has been waiting a long time for his person. Maybe that person is you! BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from his foster home.August 29, 2026, 7:08 pm

Story
Tweety is a cattle dog (likely mixed with a Smooth Coat Collie), which basically means she’s equal parts brilliant, busy, and always three steps ahead of everyone in the room. If there’s a job to do, Tweety has already done it… and improved it. Right now, Tweety is training in our Beyond The Bars program, where she’s channeling all that lively puppy energy and sharp intelligence into focus, structure, and partnership. She’s the kind of dog who makes you laugh one minute and say “how did you even figure that out?!” the next — constantly observing, learning, and engaging with everything and everyone around her. Whether she’s zipping through training exercises, locking eyes with her handler like she’s solving a puzzle, or soaking up a quiet moment of connection, Tweety is showing just how much potential she has. The puppy in her means her attention span is simiar to a gnat - lol - but when she's focused, she's really focused! August 30, 2026, 6:05 pm

Story
Alix #24280 is a white and black female Australian Shepherd and Border Collie mix. She is approximately 3 years old. She weighs 55.0 lbs.. She has not been spayed. She was picked up stray by an animal control officer on 8/18/26; hold expires 8/21/26. She is calm and low energy. She appears to be well socialized. She was thin at intake. She is heartworm negative. She is current on vaccines. She is leash broken. She sits on command. Meds: heartworm negative, distemper/parvo, pyrantal deworm, fleay spray, bordetella/parainfluenza. Meet Alix, a beautiful 3-year-old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix who weighs 55 pounds and has a wonderfully calm, good-natured personality. From the moment we met her, Alix impressed us with her gentle, easygoing nature. She appears friendly and well socialized and has been a pleasure to handle. Alix has a gorgeous white-and-black coat, but her wonderfully fluffy, curled tail may be our favorite feature—it stands out behind her like a little flag waving in the breeze! She is calm and quiet, and so far, we haven't even heard her bark. If you enjoy walks with a well-mannered companion, Alix could be a great match. She is excellent on a leash and heels nicely as she walks. She also knows how to sit on command, showing that she's ready to continue learning with her new family. She was completely cooperative for her diagnostics and vaccines and didn't even need a muzzle for her heartworm blood draw. Her heartworm test was negative. Alix has so much to offer a loving home. Please come meet this sweet, beautiful girl and give her the chance to become your forever companion. Rescue interest is warmly welcomed, too!
