Story
Raiden – Available 18 Month Old, 36 pound, neutered Shepherd/Shar Pei/Husky Mix Hi I’m Raiden. A 36 pound make Shepherd mix. I say mix cause my DNA report says I’m a little of a bunch. Yup best ways to say I’m a Supermutt, a Chicago Shepherd or a Heinz 57, you choose. I’m house trained and crate trained. So I can be apprehensive at first but I warm up quickly and turn into quite the snuggle bug. I also act like I’m not trained but I know sit and down. I come when called, but walking on a leash I could use some extra work on. I love dogs big and small. The more they play the more I play. When it's couch time I’m good with that too. Cats are pretty foreign to me. Foster mom thinks I might be a bit too much for a feline friend. I met kids and I like them. Again they have to let me warm up to them. Raiden’s adoption fee is $425. If you’re looking for a fun loving guy & are interested in meeting Raiden, then go to our website heathers foster dogs.org. Using the menu at the top of the page, click on Adoption Application. Complete & submit your application, which will serve as the basis for a conversation, & you will be contacted. We will make arrangements to meet with prospective adopters for Raiden only after a submitted application has been reviewed & a phone conversation has taken place. ***Please note that we are a foster based group located in the southern suburbs of Chicago. Raiden’s adopter must live in the greater Chicago metropolitan area.***

Story
Meet Freya, a sweet and loving 6-year-old pup looking for her perfect forever home! Freya is as affectionate and loyal as dogs come. She adores cuddling, is incredibly smart, and is already well-trained—she knows her commands and listens beautifully. Originally a stray, Freya thrives in familiar surroundings but does experience anxiety when unfamiliar people enter her space. Because of this, she would be happiest in a calm, predictable environment. Ideal for Freya would be a home with experienced dog owners who understand canine anxiety and can provide the patience, reassurance, and structure she needs. A larger home or one with an experienced owner would help her feel secure, and she would absolutely love a doggie sibling to play and bond with. Freya has been a cherished family member for years, but with a new baby on the way and a busy household, her current home can no longer offer the peaceful setting she deserves.

Story
Sweet Bonnie arrived to us from Kentucky in late March, heavily pregnant. She was moved into a foster home with a staff member and soon gave birth to 7 puppies at the beginning of April. They have now been fully weaned and she has started getting her vetting up to date. She is set to be spayed in July. She is a sweetheart, who loves to carefully jump up on you for hugs and attention. In her foster home, she enjoyed sitting and laying with them and getting attention. She can be wary of men but can start to warm up after multiple slow introductions. Bonnie has done well meeting other dogs, and has some friends she enjoys playing through the fence with. Bonnie is looking for a home without cats or small animals. She has met kids around 3, 8, and 9 years old and done well. Bonnie is incredibly smart and agile. She is not a dog that can be left alone in a yard, as at this time she will climb, jump, or squeeze her way out. This sweetheart would love to be in a home of her own with people she can love forever. She has a big heart and deserves so much after all she's been through.

Story
Hi, I’m Pip—50% sass, 50% snuggles, and 100% ready to steal your heart! With my spotted coat and spunky spirit, I’m the kind of pup who turns heads and melts hearts. I’m about a year old, full of love, and currently living my best life in foster care while I wait for my forever home. My foster family says I’m bursting with personality. I’ve got a happy tail, goofy expressions, and a big heart that’s always ready for cuddles. I love being near my people—whether we’re playing, snuggling, or just hanging out. I’ll be your shadow, your sidekick, your biggest fan. I already know how to sit, I settle nicely in my crate when it’s time to rest, and I’m doing well with my house manners—as long as I get regular potty breaks (a girl’s got needs, after all!). I’ve got lots of playful energy and am learning how to take a breath when I get extra excited. I just love people so much, it’s hard not to wiggle with joy! Because of that, I’d probably do best with bigger kids who won’t get knocked over by my enthusiasm. I might also enjoy having a calm dog friend who matches my vibe. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, loyal sidekick with a whole lot of heart—look no further. I might just be your girl. Pip is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions. $200 Local Adoption Fee (in Texas) $450 Out of State Fee (includes transport to your area)
