Bo Peep and Woody were found as strays together, very scared. It took a few days for them to realize we’re all ok here, but they always looked to each other for comfort. We’re hoping these 2 can stay together in their forever home. They are both very sweet and adorable! We don’t recommend small kids in their new home since they came in so scared.

i I’m Raiden. I’m a 3 year old, neutered 35 pound Shepherd mix. I’m housetrained. I’m crate trained. I like kids and adults. I can get excited when first meeting. After that you do your thing, I’ll do mine. Cats are a no-no. Dogs, I love all sizes. I live with dogs from 15 pounds up to 60 pounds. I really like to follow the leader, if the dog wants to play I can play with the best. If the dog is more chill, I can chill and snuggle with you. Raiden’s adoption fee is $425. If you’re looking for a fun loving guy & are interested in meeting Raiden, then using the menu at the top of the page, click on Adoption Application. Complete & submit your application, which will serve as the basis for a conversation, & you will be contacted. We will make arrangements to meet with prospective adopters for Raiden only after a submitted application has been reviewed & a phone conversation has taken place. ***Please note that we are a foster based group located in the southern suburbs of Chicago. Raiden’s adopter must live in the greater Chicago metropolitan area.***

Bonnie is a beautiful mixed breed/collie who is about 2.5 years old and around 45lbs. She had 7 puppies at our shelter and is now looking for her own perfect home! She is a sweetheart, who loves to jump up on you for hugs and attention. She is incredibly smart and agile and would love a home to keep her active and enriched! She is dog friendly and kid friendly. Once she bonds to people she does have the tendency to guard/protect them, so we are looking for a home with previous experience dealing with any potential guarding issues. Due to the guarding/protective behavior we are marking her for households with children over 12 yrs of age. She seems to enjoy other dogs at the shelter, but due to her small animal prey drive, will need a home without cats or small pets.

Winston is a charming, 28-lb mix breed boy estimated to be between 1½ and 2 years old, and he truly is a good one. He has a wonderful, friendly temperament and absolutely loves people of all ages. He’s been fantastic with kids—including a loud, energetic 4½-year-old—and happily soaks up attention from both adults and children. Winston is a toy enthusiast through and through and will gladly empty his toy basket multiple times a day. He enjoys playing fetch with a ball and knows how to have fun without being overwhelming. He walks well on a leash, knows how to sit, and is currently working on “wait” while his food bowl is being put down. He’s about 99% house trained, goes into a crate with a little encouragement, and takes treats very gently. Socially, Winston loves dogs his own size. Cats are unknown, but he does have a higher prey drive for rabbits and squirrels, so a secure environment is important. He enjoys spending time looking out the door, watching the world go by, and being close to his people. He does get nervous during thunderstorms, but with reassurance and comfort, he settles back in. With his sweet nature, great manners, and love for human connection, Winston would make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a loyal, affectionate companion. He’s truly a special dog and ready to find his forever home.   The adoption fee of $450 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. We stepped up to the plate… and these two knocked it out of the park. Meet Domino & Scrabble — Lab/Heeler mix brothers bringing equal parts chaos, charm, and championship potential. Born on March 10th (MAR10 Day), we seriously considered naming them Mario & Luigi… but once we met them, Domino (black & white) and Scrabble (white & orange) just fit. These boys came from an accidental litter — and their story took a turn when another mama dog on the property rejected her own litter and became aggressive toward them. So we stepped up to the plate, swung for the fences, and now we’re looking for their home run placement. Genetically, they’re a mix of Labrador Retriever and Australian Cattle Dog (Heeler). Personality-wise, we’re seeing a lot of that happy, playful, eager-to-please Lab energy. Looks-wise, the Heeler is definitely showing through While they aren’t showing herding behaviors yet, Heelers are known for those instincts — including trying to “herd” kids (and yes… even adults). Because of that, we’re looking for a home that understands working breeds and is ready to provide structure, exercise, and mental stimulation. Ideal Home: A yard to run in or an active lifestyle with frequent walks, playtime, and engagement Current Stats: Smart? Already working on “sit” ✔️ Playful? Absolutely A little wild sometimes? Also yes… but in the best puppy way Neuter dates are set, and these boys will be ready to join their forever team very soon. Applications are open now and holds can be placed by approved applicants. If you’re ready for a high-energy, high-reward teammate… this might be your draft class. Breed & size are best guesses based on current traits and observations.
