Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Unknown, likely yesGood with kids: Yes, dog savvy childrenCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: YesStrawberry Jam is a beautiful, smart girl who is slowly but surely learning to trust and getting a little braver every day. She is a medium energy gal who loves a good romp in the yard, playing chase with her friends, and jumping in her favorite puppy pool. She is looking for a patient person willing to give her the time and space she needs to come out of her shell.Strawberry is great with other dogs and enjoys playing with her fur buddies in her foster home, approaching new dogs with a gentle, non-confrontational energy. She has not been around cats, but her timid and submissive nature suggests she would likely do well with a feline sibling. She has met a few children and tends to be shy with new people at first, so she would do best with a family who can give her time and space to get comfortable.Strawberry is a bright girl who loves chew toys, bones, and chewy treats. She is fully crate trained and will even crate herself willingly. She is fully house trained, going to the door and waiting to be let out after her crate time. She walks on leash but is shy and may hang back at first, so she would benefit from a patient handler and possibly a dog buddy to help build her confidence on walks. This sweet, quirky girl has come so far already and just needs the right person to help her keep blooming. Could you be that person for Strawberry Jam?Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org. Piper **Currently Available for Adoption!!** Good with Kids, Cats and Dogs! Meet Piper! 2 yrs./37 lb./Female/Collie Mix Name: Piper Age: 2 years Weight: 37lbs Breed: Collie Mix Status: Devoted Velcro girl seeking her favorite human(s) forever 🐾 About Me: Hi! I'm Piper, and I've been told I have one small flaw... I love my people a lot. Like, a lot a lot.If you're looking for a dog who wants to be involved in every part of your day, follows you from room to room, and thinks quality time should be measured in hours rather than minutes, I may just be your perfect match. I'm affectionate, loyal, and happiest when I'm with my family. Wherever you go, I'd very much like to come too. I'm great with people and have experience living around both dogs and cats. I enjoy making friends and being part of the family. In my home, I can sometimes get a little protective of my favorite humans around larger dogs, but I respond well to guidance and reminders that everyone can share the love. It's less about being bossy and more about wanting to make sure I don't miss out on any attention. At my core, I'm a sweet, loving girl who thrives on connection and companionship. If you've ever wished for a best friend who thinks you're the greatest thing on earth, I'd love to apply for the position. Best Qualities: • Incredibly loyal and devoted • Affectionate and people-oriented • Good with cats and other dogs • Smart and responsive to guidance • Loves being involved in family life My Ideal Match: • Someone looking for a true companion • A family that enjoys having their dog close by • Humans who appreciate a loyal "shadow dog" • A home where I can be included in daily adventures and couch time alike Deal Breakers: • I am not applying for the position of "independent roommate" • If you're looking for a dog who keeps her distance, I'm probably not your girl • I prefer being with my people whenever possible • I fully intend to make you feel like the most important person in the world 💜 Fun Fact: My love language is quality time. If you're standing up, I'm next to you. If you're sitting down, I'm next to you. If you're wondering where I am... I'm probably next to you. 😆🐾
