Layla is the definition of an old soul — gentle, thoughtful, and full of quiet love. She has a calm, comforting presence that makes you feel at ease the moment you meet her. She's a really special girl!  Layla is very dog friendly and good with dogs of all sizes and does great with everyone, but she truly shines in a peaceful environment where she can relax and be her soft, sweet self. With her stunning collie looks (and maybe a little shepherd mixed in!), Layla is as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. She’s a shy girl at first, but once she trusts you, her gentle and loving nature really comes through. She’s the kind of dog who will quietly become your whole heart. She deserves a calm, patient home that will give her the love and security she’s been waiting for "A true heart dog"  DOB @ 3/4/21/63 lbs Shepherd/Collie mix (just a guess)!dog friendly & best as second dog in homewould love a more chill home/she’s a shy galfully vetted  Fostered locally in Massachusetts - APPLY TODAY to meet her!!! *Please note: We're an all-volunteer organization, and incomplete applications cannot be processed.* If you're interested in adopting a GBP rescue PAL, please submit an application through the link below. Story
Cazmic has been the perfect family companion for over 11 years. He was raised with infants and small children, so he knows not to bark in the house and does not jump on people. He is very calm annd loving. No scratching, biting, growling ever. Unfortunately, he has recently had some health issues that have made it difficult for us to continue to care for him. He recently had a cancerous rectal mass removed. Since then, he has had intermittent diarrhea and requires more frequent opportunities to relieve himself. He has been house trained since he was a puppy. He still makes an attempt to notify the family he needs to be let out, but it we are unavailable (not at home), he has been having bowel movement accidents in the house. He has also battled itchy skin for the last two years. Though we love our long time companion, our busy schedules keep us from being able to meet his new care needs. He is free to a loving home that will help him age gracefully.

Story
Meet Freddy! 🐾Freddy is a handsome, happy-go-lucky guy with a big heart and a love for everyone he meets. While not much is known about his past, it seems clear that he once belonged to someone. Sadly, Freddy was found abandoned, thin, frightened, and unsure of the people trying to help him. It took eight patient days to earn his trust and safely rescue him, but those scary days are now behind him.Freddy has just arrived at his southern foster home, and his sweet, social personality is already shining through. He loves being with people and will happily hop up on the sofa for some good back scratches. He enjoys going for walks, meeting new friends, and soaking up all the attention he can get. He may occasionally get excited and jump up to say hello, but he responds well to correction and is eager to please.Freddy also does very well with other dogs and especially enjoys having canine friends to play with. He walks nicely on a leash and is housetrained using a dog door. He'll even whine to let his people know when he needs to go outside—a pretty helpful skill for a newly rescued boy!Since Freddy is still settling into foster care, he's just beginning to discover all the fun that comes with being a cherished family dog. For now, his favorite "toys" seem to be his people, and he's perfectly content simply spending time with them. After such an uncertain start, Freddy is ready for the security of a loving home where he'll never have to wonder if someone is coming back for him. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate, dog-friendly companion who is ready to fill a home with love and happiness, Freddy just might be your guy.All known information about the animal is listed above. Story
Meet Mercy - Now its her turn! Adoption Fee: $449 Adoption Application - Copy & Paste https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9. Mercy has spent the last several months being a wonderful mama, and now that all but one of her puppies have found their forever homes, we think its finally time for Mercy to be somebodys baby. Mercy is a young girl around 1 year old, a sweet, affectionate girl who loves being close to her people. She loves attention, enjoys being petted, and is perfectly happy stretching out on the sofa beside you and soaking up all the love she can get. She also enjoys going for walks and spending time with her people. She has a gentle, loving side and does well with children. Mercys story began in a warehouse, where she was found doing everything she could to care for her six newborn puppies. This little mama weighed only about 30 pounds herself, but she kept her babies safe until help finally arrived. When we learned about Mercy and her puppies, we brought the entire family into our rescue and promised that their lives were about to change. Her puppies were born around May 23, and one by one they have gone off to start their new lives. Only her son Marley is still waiting for his family—and so is Mercy. Mercy has done her job. She raised her babies, kept them safe, and watched them leave for homes of their own. Now we want someone to choose her. Mercy would be happiest in a home where she can enjoy plenty of attention and be the center of her familys world. She is not a match for a home with cats. She doesnt need anything fancy. Give this girl a comfortable sofa, some nice walks, plenty of pets, and people who will love her for the rest of her life, and Mercy will be one happy girl. After everything she has done for her babies, Mercy deserves her happily ever after, too. If you think you could be the family Mercy has been waiting for, submit your adoption application today. Here's the adoption application, please copy & paste. https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts local and in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you. I'm in foster care! **If you're interested in meeting Tengu, please email info.pawfectlife@gmail.com** Tengu **Currently Available for Adoption** Good with Dogs! Meet Tengu! 9 mos./35 lb./Male/Lab/Collie Mix Name: Tengu Age: 9 months Weight: 35 lbs Breed: Lab/Collie Mix Status: Soft-spoken sweetheart seeking patient soulmate 🤍 About Me: Hi… I’m Tengu. I might hang back for a minute when we first meet — I like to observe, assess, and make sure you pass the vibe check. But give me a little time (and maybe a crunchy treat), and you’ll see my tail start to wag and my personality peek out. I’m a sensitive, thoughtful boy with that classic intelligence. I notice everything. I feel everything. And once I know I’m safe? I love with my whole heart. I’ll gently follow you around, lean into you for comfort, and look at you like you’re my entire world. I’m not the loudest guy in the room — I’m the loyal best friend who chooses you quietly and forever. Best Qualities: • Tender-hearted and deeply loyal • Smart, observant, and eager to learn • Forms meaningful bonds • Playful and silly once comfortable • Gives the sweetest “thank you for being patient with me” eyes Ideal Match: • A calm, patient home willing to go at my pace • Someone who understands that trust is built, not rushed • A family who celebrates small confidence wins • Humans who keep crunchy treats stocked at all times Deal Breakers: • Being expected to be outgoing on day one • Chaotic, overwhelming environments • Treat jars that are suspiciously empty Fun Fact: The fastest way to my heart? A perfectly crunchy snack. The louder the cronch, the deeper the bond.
