Layla is the definition of an old soul — gentle, thoughtful, and full of quiet love. She has a calm, comforting presence that makes you feel at ease the moment you meet her. She's a really special girl!  Layla is very dog friendly and good with dogs of all sizes and does great with everyone, but she truly shines in a peaceful environment where she can relax and be her soft, sweet self. With her stunning collie looks (and maybe a little shepherd mixed in!), Layla is as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. She’s a shy girl at first, but once she trusts you, her gentle and loving nature really comes through. She’s the kind of dog who will quietly become your whole heart. Story
There are five adorable puppies in our Primrose litter of 10 week old orphans that have just joined our Connecticut Rescue: Claudia, Eliza, Marius, Primrose and Rayne. All the pups in this litter have gentle temperaments and playful, friendly personalities. Despite the chaotic shelter process, these pups have weathered the storm and show no obvious signs of trauma or neglect.  It appears that the pups’ owner unwittingly facilitated an accidental breeding of unaltered adult housemates and then was overwhelmed by puppy love. She offloaded the puppies to a high kill rural North Carolina Shelter, and we were able to transport them to our place in Canterbury, Connecticut.  We have had the puppies DNA tested, and they are a diverse mix of breeds, but 56% of that mix is Collie. The weight range is projected at 40 to 60 pounds, and their working roots suggest that adopters should be prepared to provide a lot of exercise and mental stimulation.  Any of these pups would be an excellent choice for a savvy Working Breed adopter, willing to commit to ongoing training and socialization. They have taken well to basic puppy Positive Reinforcement training techniques and seem to enjoy the learning process. We seek adopters willing to raise them as Canine Good Citizens.  All of these pups could easily join multi-dog homes with older, playful dogs, tolerant of puppy energy. They would thrive with an active single, couple or family with older kids who have been taught to be gentle with young dogs.  All puppies are in excellent health, fully vaccinated and dewormed. If you are interested in one of our Primrose litter mates, please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.

I'm in foster care! **If you're interested in meeting Tengu, please email info.pawfectlife@gmail.com** Tengu **Currently Available for Adoption** Good with Dogs! Meet Tengu! 9 mos./35 lb./Male/Lab/Collie Mix Name: Tengu Age: 9 months Weight: 35 lbs Breed: Lab/Collie Mix Status: Soft-spoken sweetheart seeking patient soulmate 🤍 About Me: Hi… I’m Tengu. I might hang back for a minute when we first meet — I like to observe, assess, and make sure you pass the vibe check. But give me a little time (and maybe a crunchy treat), and you’ll see my tail start to wag and my personality peek out. I’m a sensitive, thoughtful boy with that classic intelligence. I notice everything. I feel everything. And once I know I’m safe? I love with my whole heart. I’ll gently follow you around, lean into you for comfort, and look at you like you’re my entire world. I’m not the loudest guy in the room — I’m the loyal best friend who chooses you quietly and forever. Best Qualities: • Tender-hearted and deeply loyal • Smart, observant, and eager to learn • Forms meaningful bonds • Playful and silly once comfortable • Gives the sweetest “thank you for being patient with me” eyes Ideal Match: • A calm, patient home willing to go at my pace • Someone who understands that trust is built, not rushed • A family who celebrates small confidence wins • Humans who keep crunchy treats stocked at all times Deal Breakers: • Being expected to be outgoing on day one • Chaotic, overwhelming environments • Treat jars that are suspiciously empty Fun Fact: The fastest way to my heart? A perfectly crunchy snack. The louder the cronch, the deeper the bond.

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $0 WAIVED if picked up in TN, $100 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Lacy, a scruffy, wiry-haired sweetheart with a quirky charm and kisses to spare for anyone within reach. This 1.5-year-old Airedale Terrier mix, possibly with a touch of Collie, weighs 46 pounds and brings a fun mix of friendly and shy all rolled into one funny personality. She loves greeting people with happy kisses, and once she settles in and gets comfortable, she is a total love bug who will lean into every pet and shower you with affection. Her energy adjusts with the moment, ready to play hard or relax depending on what the day calls for. Lacy is quite the athlete and adventurer at heart. She loves playing ball, wrestling with her canine friends, and going on hikes and walks, and she would likely be a big fan of the dog park too. She is very food motivated, and she would love learning new tricks with the right treats involved. She is housetrained when on a consistent routine and knows how to settle into her crate and sit for her leash, though she does best with an open crate setup or a small attached pen rather than being fully confined, since she prefers a little extra room to feel comfortable. Lacy is quite clever and athletic, capable of clearing a four foot fence, among other feats. She lives happily with other dogs and cats and was gentle and a little shy when meeting kids. The best home for Lacy is one where someone is around often and where she has at least one friendly dog companion to keep her company. If you have room in your home and heart for a joyful girl with a spark of mischief, Lacy would love to meet you. Reach out to A.A.R.F. by text at 931-260-8018 or visit www.aarf-tn.com to start the application process.  Interested in adopting? THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. August 2, 2026, 2:50 pm
