Story
Pembroke Welsh Corgi Mix Age: Senior Male, neutered 20 lbs Adoption Fee: Donation (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Llew was picked up by animal control off the streets of Hayward. He was unable to use his back legs. Otherwise he seemed in fairly good shape. He must not have been on the streets for long. It is suspected that he had a back problem (IVDD) that was never treated. He has responded well to anti-inflammatory and pain medications. He has gained some use of his back legs (he can stand and walk a few steps). He has been in physical therapy for a few months. UPDATE: With diligent persistence from his foster home, Llew is walking again on his back legs. He is a little wobbly, but he is using his back legs all the time - no more dragging. For all he has been through, he has an excellent demeanor - very friendly, very loving. He can come off as a little “pushy” to some dogs, but overall he gets along well with all the dogs in his foster home. He needs a home with no stairs, and where someone is home most of the time. He would prefer a home with another friendly dog. Nobody’s Perfekt Dogs is willing to assist with his vet costs, if needed. Even though he has regained the ability to walk with his hind legs, the jury is still out on whether he has control of his bladder and bowels. He appears to pee when he goes outside, but he doesn't stop and pee. Similarly, he doesn't stop and poop - it just comes out when it is ready. Story
Who can resist a handsome, charming little dog like Scotty! This boi is a mix of who-knows-what! He has the massive corgi ears, so maybe he's that. He has cattle dog freckling on his legs. He has the curly swirly fur all over, so maybe there's some poodle in there. He's got wispy ears so maybe there is Papillion in his lineage. We don't know, but we do know this is one magical little dog! Scotty is looking for a home that will keep him busy! He loves walking, whether in the city, the SF Peninsula, or even the coast of Mendocino. He loves going on errands with his foster dog. Home Depot, the local brewery, the oil change shop...he will join you if you ask him. Scotty is best suited as an only dog. He does get along with other dogs, but it requires a proper introduction. Scotty hangs with 4 other dogs on his walks.  Scotty is mostly quiet in the home; however, he is still barky enough that he’s not ideal for apartment living.  Scotty is about 2 years old and 10 pounds. Scotty is a Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. To recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation foeach adoption. The suggested donation for Scotty is $300. If you are interested in adopting Scotty   , please complete our online adoption application at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/ . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area. Story
Hello! I’m Coco! I’m a cute boy that is curious of the world. I love people very much and whenever I walk down the street, there are always people who want to play with me. I am scared of other dogs so I would bark at them and ran away. I never played with small kids before, but maybe someone can give me a chance. Thomas is super busy and he keeps feeling sorry for not keeping me company and I always feel bored. I hope someone with experience can give me a forever home and more attention. I am ready for the new life. I’m neutered, up to date on everything! I hope you ask about me!!!

Story
Hey everybody, I know that this is probably shocking for some of you. I used to be known as Sloane and I came from Stanislaus animal control. I was actually put on the euthanasia list because I did not like people and I was terrified everything. But when I joined this pack, I got an awesome foster mom who helped me really come out of my shell and showed me that people are not scary. And then got to join the training program where my foster dad and I have bonded and our best friends. He thinks that I am the coolest dog out there. I’m very smart and I learned really fast but I really just need my person. I love cuddling in bed and when you’re alarm goes off, I will bury you under your blanket so you don’t have to get up, don’t worry I got your back we can sleep all day, long and cuddle. I hope to find my forever family soon, but until then I’m gonna keep up with my training. My instructor thinks that I have a lot of potential because of how smart I am but man when I see my foster family I get so excited, so I just can only imagine how excited I’m gonna be when I finally get to meet my forever family, come find me soon because trust me I’m worth it!
