If you're searching for a devoted and loving best friend, Bixby is the guy you want to have around! Bixby, at 4 - 5 years old old and 27 lbs is just naturally a lover. Bixby is a gorgeous and sweet as can be Corgi / Cattle Dog mix (check out his stunning tricolor coat with the cutest markings) all the traits that make these super- smart and personality-plus dogs very popular and beloved family companions. Farfel's Rescue received a plea from our Texas rescue partner asking us to save the life of sweet Bixby. This is through no fault of his own but rather due to lack of space in the shelter. They described this adorable boy as wonderful, kind and very loving. From Bixby's foster: * * * * "Bixby has been a great house guest overall! He sleeps quietly in his crate, appears potty trained, and hasn’t had any accidents. He gets along well with our tiny 7 pound puppy and is so sweet. He loves squeaky toys and chewing stuffies. He can be a bit shy with new people at first. He was shy with me when he first came home but has warmed up a LOT! He’ll come to me if I’m sitting down but he doesn’t seem to enjoy pets as much as he does playing and running around the yard. He walks great on leash but doesn’t like the leash being on his collar, so we only use a harness to walk him. Harnesses are safer anyway!" * * * * Bixby has a never-ending positive attitude and will love his family with all his heart. He would definitely enjoy another sweet dog to play with, and then would love nothing more than to lie together in the sunshine enjoying a beautiful day. We would like to see Bixby in a home with a family (older kids only so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loyal and sweet pup. We'd hate to see Bixby left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home. He seems to be too sensitive for that type of arrangement. Bixby will thrive on spending the days near his people getting loved up periodically throughout the day. Farfel's Rescue would like to see Bixby in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and tons of loving hugs. A virtual or in-person positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a sweet pup whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt Bixby out to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Bixby has been fully vetted and vaccinated to support Farfel's contention that our adopted dogs are always completely healthy. He has also been neutered to forward Farfel's commitment to a euthanasia - free future within the canine population. Bixby is available for adoption now! He plays hard—zooming around and wrestling with his siblings, but when he's done, he naps just as hard! This loving little guy isn't into doing things solo—he's all about being part of the action, whether that's playing with his crew or cuddling up close to his favorite people for a cozy snooze! What to Expect: Ethan's forever family will dive into all the fun puppy stuff: potty training adventures, crate training missions, learning commands, and making new friends everywhere! He's still figuring out the whole "training" thing and might need some extra patience and creative approaches to help him learn. Living Situation: Right now, Ethan's hanging with three of his siblings in a foster home. He hasn't met other pets yet—that could be an exciting new adventure! Potty & Food Time: He's still little and just starting his potty training journey, but he's already doing great at keeping his sleeping crate clean! Uses washable puppy pads (because the paper ones? He turns those into confetti!) Eats when he's hungry but isn't super food-motivated—he shares bowls nicely with his siblings though! Euro would love to bounce his way into your heart. He bounces around excited to see you and get attention. He is such a sweet boy. He is learning to sit and play fetch. He’s on his way to being puppy pad training. He sleeps through the night. We are working on crate training and he settles down really fast. He loves playing with our resident pittie mix and our kids.  Euro is going to make a wonderful dog for anyone.  ##2636226##

She is a bit shy until she gets to know you. Will run when I walk by her. Does well in her pen and will sleep in her crate with her sister. They both are very adorable. Loves to play with toys and her sister. She will also play with one of my dogs. She is pretty good about peeing on the pad in her pen but doesn’t normally poop in the pen. She will wait until she is out of the pen and will go on the other pad I have. Sometimes she will just miss it. She will definitely need work on potty training  ##2636234##
