Story
Meet Monty the sausage dog! Monty and Mia were living on the streets of Texas before they were rescued and brought up to Colorado. Monty was the last to get saved and is just now learning the comforts of a home and he is loving it!! Guessing he is a cowboy corgi or corgi shepherd mix of some sort. He has little legs that dont stop him from being an active boy. He is very friendly with other dogs, and is a little shy but loves people once he gets to know them. He was living with a pack on the streets and now in a pack in a home with his foster family. This goofy little guy loves his stuffies, fuzzy blankets, and cuddles. He comes fully equipped with a party ear, ideal low center of gravity, and tail that doubles as a bat signal for play time. He’s mastered the irresistible puppy dog eyes, and is always ready for affection! Note he is Heartworm positive which is non contagious and treatment is fully paid for by our rescue if you go to our vet in Golden. He is already started on treatment (doxy pills) and will need to start shots around end of May. We can go into more detials of what treatment looks like before a meet and greet All POSO Dogs come with: - Spayed/Netuered - Basic Shots (age appropriate) - Fecal and 4dx testing - other medical concerns addressed before adoption - 2 Free one on one dog training sessions with a professional dog trainer - Training received in foster home - Basic things like some food, treats, leash and collar - PDFs of training material and local coupons and dog sitter recommendations

Story
Freya is a sweet energetic Corgi Terrier mix that loves to play and cuddle with her humans. She enjoys playing with Hemi, a big male Rottweiler Shepard mix. We have taken her to the dog park and she does fine around other dogs as well. She prefers catch to fetch. She loves bully sticks and pig ears. She is very food motivated and very smart. She can be a little too energetic at times and tries to jump and give open mouth kisses which can frighten some people and children. We rescued Freya and Hemi when their previous owner couldn't afford to keep them. For several weeks Freya and Hemi integrated well with our rescue Ceres. However Ceres' resource aggression came out and she and Freya occasionally fought over treats and toys. We have been working with the dogs and they have all improved greatly, but we have been unable to stop Ceres from starting fights entirely. My husband and I have come to the hard decision to rehome Freya to a safe and loving forever home.

Story
Cody is ready to find his forever home! Cody was found out on the plains of CO limping on 3 legs. A kind person contacted us to get him the medical care he needed. After an FHO and physical therapy, Cody is using his leg again, although there are still times when he reverts back since he likely used 3 legs for most of his life prior to surgery. Cody is a super sweet and loving 1.5 y/o cowboy Corgi. He weighs approximately 25# and will need another friendly dog in his new home and humans who aren’t gone long hours. Cody is potty trained and crate trained although he can have some excited urination when his person comes home. He is still in his puppy stage and learning about chewing on appropriate things so does require a certain amount of supervision and dog-safe chews like no hides and bully sticks. Cody has not been tested with cats or kids and although very sweet and even tempered, he can be herdy so cats aren’t recommended and kids 12+. Cody is good on the leash, treat motivated, and sleeps in a dog bed at night. He is shy in new situations and doesn’t love the car but is getting used to shorter trips to fun places. Cody requires a secure fenced in yard with room to run around, a moderately active family, and is not a good fit for an apartment situation. His humans should be ok with the bark of a Heeler, although he mostly uses it when he’s excited and not unnecessarily. Cody would benefit from a basic manners class to bond, learn, and gain confidence. If you’re interested in meeting Cody, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at  https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms  We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Cody is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. His adoption fee is $400 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado. March 8, 2026, 9:08 am
