Story
Marcy is the type of dog that makes people smile almost immediately. She has a goofy, happy personality, loves being involved in whatever you are doing, and absolutely lives for water. If there is a pond, creek, kiddie pool, or muddy shoreline nearby, Marcy will find it. Marcy is a stocky, short-legged mixed breed girl around 45 pounds full grown with a personality that balances confidence and sensitivity in a really unique way. She loves adventures, swimming, exploring, and outdoor activities, but she is not a nonstop high-energy dog. She can absolutely keep up on hikes, walks, or active days, then happily relax afterward. She is great with other dogs and cats. With dogs, she does best around friendly, respectful personalities. She can get intimidated if another dog is overly pushy or tries to dominate her, but outside of that she is social, playful, and very happy around other animals. With new people, Marcy can sometimes give a little low growl at first. It is not aggression and she has never shown aggressive behavior. It is simply her way of saying she needs a moment to process and get comfortable. Once she settles in, her affectionate and goofy personality comes out quickly. She is basically an extroverted introvert. Marcy would be a great fit for someone looking for a dog that enjoys adventures and outdoor time but does not need constant stimulation to stay happy. She especially needs a family that understands that not every friendly dog is instantly social with strangers, and that giving a dog a few minutes to warm up is completely okay. Good fit: someone looking for a fun, outdoorsy companion that enjoys water, adventures, and relaxing equally. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $500 (includes transport + vetting) Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ, VT Think you might be a good fit? Story
Cody is ready to find his forever home! Cody was found out on the plains of CO limping on 3 legs. A kind person contacted us to get him the medical care he needed. After an FHO and physical therapy, Cody is using his leg again, although there are still times when he reverts back since he likely used 3 legs for most of his life prior to surgery. Cody is a super sweet and loving 1.5 y/o cowboy Corgi. He weighs approximately 25# and will need another friendly dog in his new home and humans who aren’t gone long hours. Cody is potty trained and crate trained although he can have some excited urination when his person comes home. He is still in his puppy stage and learning about chewing on appropriate things so does require a certain amount of supervision and dog-safe chews like no hides and bully sticks. Cody has not been tested with cats or kids and although very sweet and even tempered, he can be herdy so cats aren’t recommended and kids 12+. Cody is good on the leash, treat motivated, and sleeps in a dog bed at night. He is shy in new situations and doesn’t love the car but is getting used to shorter trips to fun places. Cody requires a secure fenced in yard with room to run around, a moderately active family, and is not a good fit for an apartment situation. His humans should be ok with the bark of a Heeler, although he mostly uses it when he’s excited and not unnecessarily. Cody would benefit from a basic manners class to bond, learn, and gain confidence. If you’re interested in meeting Cody, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at  https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms  We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Cody is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. His adoption fee is $400 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado. March 8, 2026, 9:08 am

Story
Are you a certified "Indoor Enthusiast"? Do you believe the "Great Outdoors" is slightly overrated and lacks sufficient snacks? Then Cookie is looking for you. Cookie is a 22-lb Corgi/Chihuahua mix who has decided that the outside world is a solid 0/10 stars—would not recommend. While other dogs want to hike 14ers, Cookie would prefer to file a formal protest against the existence of wind, engine noises, and neighbors. She’s not just a "homebody"; she’s the CEO of the Stay-at-Home Club. This 3-year-old sweetie is seeking a quiet sanctuary with 1-2 adults (no tiny humans, please!) who are ready to support her as she builds confidence at her own pace. While the sidewalk might be scary, the living room is her stage—once she feels safe, she’ll treat you to her nightly "Toy-Thrashing Spectacular." She is fully potty trained, crate trained, healthy, and ready to be your favorite excuse to cancel plans and stay in. If you’re a patient soul who prefers a Netflix marathon over a literal marathon, Cookie is ready to return the favor with a lifetime of snuggles. Story
Cuddles is a very sweet girl who came to CCFR because her elder owner could no longer care for her. At 10 years old she is a mature girl, but that doesn’t slow her down much. She is on a weight loss journey, currently around 35 lbs, and is hoping to find a family that loves daily walks as much as she does! She loves making new friends and always wants to be with her people, doing what they are doing, and ready to receive lots of pets and attention. She is a pretty easy going dog and enjoys an afternoon siesta. She loves treats and is very food motivated so it is hard to resist those pleading eyes for more, but her new family will need to be committed to her weight loss and stick to measured feedings and healthy snacks. She does well with other dogs but can get overexcited if they are barking or running as those herding instincts kick in. She would likely do best with older dogs in the home who can match her energy level. Her new home wish lists includes humans who are not gone long hours of the day and a fenced back yard for her to mosey in. She has a typical corgi alert system bark to new noises so shared walls may not be the best fit for her. This happy girl truly lives up to her name and is looking for a new family to snuggle in with and enjoy her golden years. Cuddles is house broken, none-destructive in the home, and crates well at night, although she probably would be happy with just a dog bed. She is working on better leash manners as she can pull and bark at unknown dogs. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on immunizations, heart worm negative, and had a recent dental cleaning. She is good with cats and older children will be considered. If you have been looking for a reason to get off your couch and get some more daily exercise yourself, Cuddles may be the new dog for you!  If interested, please apply at www.corgisandfriends.com/forms . We ask for references and do a home visit as part of our adoption process. Cuddles’ adoption fee is $225, and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.  July 6, 2026, 8:20 am

Story
This amazing ball of floof is Oreo. Oreo was surrendered by his owner due to too many dogs. Oreo is almost 2y/o and 35#. He is a good boy who is looking for an active home with another playful tolerant dog his size. He is a bit fearful of bigger dogs and gets easily overstimulated. Oreo walks well on the leash and needs longer daily walks plus other mental and physical exercise, and weekend hikes, or a working or sport home. He’d love a basic doggie manners class where he could bond with his person and show you how smart he is. Oreo is working on marking indoors and still does it occasionally and/or when he is stressed and/or if there’s another new boy dog around. He’ll need continued support and supervision and let outside often to do his business. He wears a belly band at night (it’s almost always dry in the AM) and sleeps in a dog bed. He tolerates a kennel for short periods but doesn’t love it, so someone home during the day would be best. His fluffy coat will require more than average grooming. Oreo can be fearful of new grabby hands, humans reaching over him, and fast movements towards him so only homes with children 12+ or no kids will be considered. We do not know how he is with cats but he is very herdy so cats are NOT recommended. Oreo is not a good fit for an apartment situation and requires a good sized fenced in yard where he can run around and he’ll still need appropriate daily exercise to keep him in good shape as he easily puts on weight. A herding breed experienced home would be best as he’s not a good option for a first time owner. He needs some time to settle and patience while he learns a new routine in a new environment with new people. He can be nervous and mouthy at first, but once he feels comfortable, he is very affectionate and cuddly. He should be told at least 10 times a day that he’s a good boy. If you are interested in meeting Oreo, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Oreo is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. His adoption fee is $450 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.  March 8, 2026, 9:08 am
