Story
Lady Lucy – Sweet Survivor  Some dogs have a way of capturing your heart the moment you meet them, and Lady Lucy is certainly one of those dogs. Though her past appears to have been filled with uncertainty, she has emerged from it with a gentle spirit, a loving heart, and an unwavering belief that good things are still ahead. Lady Lucy was one of nine dogs discovered living in a remote wooded area of Middle Tennessee after they were apparently abandoned when their owner fell on difficult times. No one knows exactly how long they survived on their own, but their situation touched the hearts of many rescue volunteers who came together to help. With patience, food, water, and kindness, the dogs were gradually brought to safety. Rescue groups across the region stepped forward to help, and Critter Cavalry Rescue was fortunate enough to welcome Lady Lucy into its care. From the moment she arrived, it was clear that Lucy had once known the comforts of a home. She settled in beautifully and quickly showed everyone what a wonderful companion she is. At just over a year old and weighing 32 pounds, Lucy is the perfect size for a family looking for a smaller dog with a big heart. She appears to be a delightful mix of Corgi and Beagle, though her most remarkable feature is her personality. She is affectionate, gentle, and full of love, with the easygoing nature often found in hound breeds. Whether she's relaxing beside you on the couch or quietly following you from room to room, Lucy simply wants to be close to her people. She is fully grown, crate trained, housebroken, and has excellent manners in the home. Lucy currently lives successfully with other dogs and does very well in an active household with teenagers, but she has made it clear that she would not mind having a little less competition for attention. After all she has been through, we think she would happily embrace a life where she can enjoy a bit more of the spotlight and receive the princess treatment she believes is rightfully hers. Lady Lucy has a way of looking into your eyes that makes you feel like you've known each other forever. She is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds, offers unwavering companionship, and fills a home with warmth and comfort. Her difficult past has not diminished her capacity to love; if anything, it seems to have made her even more appreciative of every kindness she receives. Now all that remains is for the right family to find her. Lady Lucy is packed and ready for her next adventure, with an open heart and a hopeful spirit. She is ready to leave her difficult past behind and begin the life she has always deserved with a family who will cherish her as the special girl she truly is. To learn more about Lady Lucy or to request an adoption application, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 19, 2026, 9:22 pm

Story
Comer is a precious 10-year-old Corgi/Terrier mix who’s sure to capture your heart. Weighing in at a perfect 30 lbs, she’s the ideal size to curl up on your lap for a cozy cuddle or snuggle beside you after a long day. While she may be considered a senior, Comer’s heart and energy are young at spirit, and she’s ready to live her best life with you! Sadly, Comer had to be surrendered back to Eleventh Hour Rescue after her previous owner became ill. Despite this, Comer’s resilience shines through. She’s a sweet, affectionate girl who  is great with cats, currently living with a foster feline sibling. While Comer seems comfortable with feline friends, she can be picky about her canine friends, and that is why a home with no other dogs would be ideal for her. Comer is friendly and loves to spend time with her humans, but she can be a bit nervous around men. A gentle, patient introduction to new male family members will help her feel comfortable and build trust. Whether she’s lounging with you on the couch or enjoying a playful moment, her joyful personality will surely brighten your day. House-trained, crate-trained, and a model car passenger, Comer is a well-behaved companion who’s ready to bring happiness and comfort to her forever home. She’s up to date on all her vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $205, a small price for a lifetime of love, laughter, and companionship. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly best friend who will shower you with affection, Comer might be the perfect match for you. Apply today at EHRDOGS.ORG and ask for COMER — she can’t wait to meet you! Story
●Rescue Story Diah was rescued from the euthanasia list at "Jeongeup City Shelter" in South Korea. Thanks to timely intervention, she was given a second chance at life and moved into a foster home, where she has been able to show her true personality in a safe and loving environment. ●Temperament & Behavior Diah is a very people-loving dog. She is comfortable even with strangers touching her and often approaches first, asking for affection. As soon as someone pets her, she happily rolls onto her back, inviting more love and belly rubs. She gets along well with other dogs and can live in a multi-dog household. While she may feel a bit overwhelmed by dogs that play very roughly, once she has time to get to know them, she plays happily with dogs of all sizes—running, playing, and engaging in gentle wrestling. Her compatibility with cats has not yet been tested. ●Walking & Daily Life At first, Diah seemed a bit timid on walks, but with consistent leash training she has learned to walk nicely while matching her handler’s pace. Loud noises or passing cars may briefly startle her, causing her to pause, but if given a moment to calmly wait, she regains confidence and continues walking, sniffing around and enjoying her surroundings. She has no food allergies, is not a picky eater, and eats well. Her shedding level is moderate, about 5 out of 10. ●Habits & Training Diah uses indoor pee pads about 80% of the time and goes potty outdoors about 20% of the time. She tolerates baths and brushing well and remains calm during grooming. She does not show separation anxiety and is comfortable staying alone. She rarely barks, only giving a short bark occasionally at the doorbell. She rides extremely well in the car with no motion sickness. When placed in a car seat, she calmly lies down, naps, watches people, or looks out the window. ●Likes & Personality Diah loves playing with toys and engaging in gentle play. She is currently living in a foster home. ●Personality (Three Words): Perfect, affectionate, and easygoing.
