Story
Get ready to meet the stunning Jasper! Jasper is a 1-year-old Corgi/Australian Shepherd mix and is fully grown at about 25 lbs. Jasper was rescued from a kill shelter in Swainsboro, GA where his time was dwindling simply because he was heartworm positive. Luckily for Jasper, Home for Good does not stray away from the 'harder' cases and immediately took him in. Jasper has been treated for Heartworm Disease and is now ready to find his forever family! Jasper is a very loving and attentive boy. He loves to sit for affection and of course, a few treats. Jasper loves to go on daily walks throughout the neighborhood and meet any new people he can. He would be the best dog waiting at the bus stop or trips in the car for a coffee ( and a pup cup for Jasper of course). Jasper is primarily housebroken and sleeps quietly throughout the night. He prefers his very own spot in bed or a super comfy dog bed. Jasper loves to play with his variety of friends. Kids, dogs, cats, Jasper loves to be around them all! He has been loving life in foster and has gotten a glimpse into what his forever family and life can look like - he is beyond excited to find his forever family! Apply on our site today to begin your adoption application for Jasper! Jasper is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. Given the conditions Jasper originated from, upon rescue, he tested positive for Heartworm disease. Thanks to Home for Good Dog Rescue, Jasper has completed his Heartworm treatment. *Heartworm disease is a serious and if left untreated, fatal disease. It is caused by foot-long worms (heartworms) that live in the heart, lungs, and associated blood vessels of affected animals, causing severe lung disease, heart failure, and damage to other organs in the body. Mosquitoes are carriers of heartworms and have the ability to infect dogs all year round, especially in the Southeastern portion of the United States and during the summer months.* **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. All adoption applications must be completed on www.hfgdr.org** HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life! In order to apply for adoption and set up an individual meet and greet with one of our dogs, please visit us at www.hfgdr.org. Find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/HomeForGoodDogRescue.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Wheezy was surrendered to the shelter when her owner became ill and could no longer care for her. At 8 years old the shelter must be quite a scary place. She is a corgi mix who is 16 pounds.  Wheezy was very happy to get out of the shelter with us and cuddled up for a nice ride home.  She is good with both dogs and cats. Wheezy is well behaved in the home and can be left home without being destructive. Best news of all - she is house broken. She is a great girl and looking for a second chance family of her own. Wheezy has recently been diagnosed with Cushing disease which is being treated with daily medication. She is doing great with it and will make a wonderful pet for a lucky family    If interested please fill out an adoption application online at njshpetrescue.org  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 4, 2024, 4:19 pm

Adopt Bella🎀 Bella, our corgi-pit mix is still on the market for her forever family🏠 Since having Bella in the rescue we've learned a lot about her. She's a total love bug, she enjoys walks and then naps immediately after, and she's obedient and learns quickly. 📝 At about five years old Bella is house trained, UTD on her shots and would make a wonderful addition to a family. Bella, with her unique body and fun personality, would need to be your one and only but we know that she is all you'll need. Did we mention she's a pint sized princess, perfect for an apartment or small space?❤️ When Bella is excited she hops around like an adorable little chocolate Easter bunny with her little legs that get lost among tall grass. 🐰 She has a medium energy level and would be best with kids 8 and up, people who are home often would be her dream family. She will do best as the only pet. If you are interested in this small princess then get your application in. Apply at pittiesandpals.com
