7/7/25: This sweet girl came into the Animal Shelter as a stray, just about to burst with pups and not fully mobile on all four legs. She is being seen by a vet to determine the best way to deliver the pups. She will become available as soon as all her pups are whelped and weaned, anticipated to be early to mid-September. But you don't have to wait until then...if you are interested in this girl, fill out an application. Our goal is that as soon as she is done being supermom, she has her own place to land right away! She deserves to be pampered and cuddled for the rest of her life!

Adorable Gretchen is ready to wiggle her way right into your heart! She is a darling 6 ½ -month-old puppy (born approximately 10/30/25), weighing 10.8 pounds, with a beautiful black and tan coat. This sweet Dachshund / Chihuahua mix definitely takes after her Doxie side with her long little body and irresistible charm. Gretchen came to AFC with her sister, Gretel, who is also available for adoption. She was lovingly surrendered so she could find the forever family she deserves. Gretchen is current on her vaccinations, micro-chipped and is scheduled to be spayed soon, but she is ready to start meeting potential adopters now. She’s still a puppy, so she will need continued house training and leash training, but she’s already learning the routine of going in and out on command and is eager to please. Bhunti is 1-year-old Miniature Dachshund and Miniature Chihuahua mix. She is very sweet, loving, smart, and full of personality. She loves cuddles and being close to people, and she has always been such an affectionate little dog. She is also very intelligent and obedient. She knows how to give paw, roll over, fetch her ball, and listens well. Bhunti grew up around small and big dogs, a cat, and small children, so she is very used to being around others and does very well with them. Bhunti is also very loyal and patient. She likes to stay close to her person and will wait for you patiently, even if you are in the bathroom or busy doing something. She is a loving little dog who enjoys attention, affection, and being part of the family.
