Story
We were asked to help with a hoarding situation with dogs. THANKFULLY these 4 are SAFE with us!! Ziggy, Sassy, Pixie and Schatzi. Please consider supporting Animal Friends Connection Humane Society as we cannot do this work without public support: https://animalfriendsconnect.org/donate/ Meet Schatzi – Your New Best Friend! This adorable 1-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mix weighs about 9.9 pounds and is ready to fill your life with love and joy! Mostly white and full of personality, Schatzi is a sweet little girl who loves to paw at you for attention and ask to be picked up — she knows she’s important and craves affection. Schatzi’s best friend is Pixie, and the two love to snuggle together, making them the perfect duo for a family that loves companionship. They can be adopted together or separately, so you can choose the perfect match for your home. They need a home with another dog if not adopted together. Schatzi is a gentle soul who will thrive in a calm environment, ideally with an existing dog to help her blossom and feel secure. She’s already learning to use the doggie door and is working on her house and leash training. She’s scheduled to be spayed. She’s current on vaccinations, microchipped, and has been treated for fleas and worms. All she needs now is a loving home where she can flourish and be your forever friend. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving companion to share life’s little moments, Schatzi might be just the girl for you! Come meet her and see the love she has to give. Story
7/7/25: This sweet girl came into the Animal Shelter as a stray, just about to burst with pups and not fully mobile on all four legs. She is being seen by a vet to determine the best way to deliver the pups. She will become available as soon as all her pups are whelped and weaned, anticipated to be early to mid-September. But you don't have to wait until then...if you are interested in this girl, fill out an application. Our goal is that as soon as she is done being supermom, she has her own place to land right away! She deserves to be pampered and cuddled for the rest of her life!

Story
Paisley is an absolutely adorable 4 1/2-month-old Chiweenie (Dachshund/Chihuahua) mix weighing 9.5 pounds, with a lovely tan, smooth coat. She was born (04/7/25). She’s a little shy but very sweet, and she’s looking for a loving forever home—either alone or with her siblings Piper, Parker, and Prince. Her story is heartwarming—her mom was purchased for just $20 from a homeless man, and when she was pregnant, the family who bought her didn’t realize she was expecting. Thankfully, she delivered her puppies safely, and now Paisley and her siblings are ready to bring joy to new families. Paisley is scheduled to be spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. As a puppy, she will need house training and leash training when old enough, but she’s eager to learn and love. Are you ready to open your heart and home to this sweet little girl? Paisley can’t wait to become a cherished member of your family!
