Oh baby girl!!!!!! It's OK now!!!! Found out on the street after just having had babies and with irreparable trauma to her eye, this poor girl was left alone and broken. Well we will share, she is neither alone nor broken anymore! Now seeking her most loving forever home where she will enjoy her most favorite people companions, Promises of daily walks, good nutrition and lots of love! Sweet Daphne the Doxie has come so far and is an absolutely beautiful soul. She is gentle and kind, responsive and affectionate. She can be around other dogs just fine but it's not really what you would call bouncy playful. She more or less prefers the company of her human companions and will just want to be part of your everyday life. This Sweet Love Bug comes when she is called and is beyond grateful and you can just see it in her expression. We just love Daphne and we are looking for somebody who will love her just as much and even more.

Story
Buster is a 1 year old purebred Dachshund! He has had a tough time in his short life and we hope the rest of his years will make up for that! He was born at a breeders home and was the last of his litter to find a home. While he was waiting for a family, he wasn't properly socialized. By the time he was finally chosen by a family, he was very nervous. The family decided he was too much work and our rescue took him in when he was 5mo old. We worked on building his confidence and he was doing very well when he was adopted. His family planned to continue his socialization and took him everywhere. Then, during a walk, an off leash dog attacked Buster. He was physically unharmed but his anxiety came back. He struggled going on walks and barked at any stranger. His family didn't know what to do and returned him. Although he is cautious, he will now go up to meet strangers. He is also doing great with all our pups and even enjoys playing with several! He prefers females around his size. However, he is still leash reactive towards other dogs. Once off leash, he is weary but has been fine with all of ours. He is completely fine with cats! Buster can be protective over his food and toys but we have trained him to give to us when asked. He is doing great now and hasn't had issues guarding anything for awhile. Buster needs a strong leader who will give him boundaries. He is too insecure to make his own decisions and would rather trust someone else he knows he is safe with. Buster is very smart. He is housebroken and crate trained. He loves car rides. He can never get enough treats and would enjoy learning new tricks. He is also very playful and always has a toy in his mouth. Buster loves to cuddle. When he does get nervous, he runs into someone's lap. Buster will be shy meeting a new person, but, give him a few treats and a toy to play with, and he will become your best friend. He follows you around the house and is a very sweet boy. We would like to find Buster a stable home where he can finally settle in and feel secure. Dogs and cats would be fine but, he should go to a home without children. Buster is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped already. If you're interested in meeting him, please submit an adoption application on our website at www.dominoeffectanimalrescue.orgJuly 21, 2024, 11:36 pm

Story
My dear Cashew was adopted from a shelter in 2015 at an estimated age of 3-6. He was very shy/afraid and took quite some time to rehabilitate. He has always been a very good dog but his old age is getting the better of him. He is very anxious and barks a lot at noises. I also own a small in-home daycare and he has started snapping at the kids and even chasing behind parents and barking at their ankles at pick-up. He recently snapped at my 8 month old baby. He was a dream dog when we were child free and he had my undivided nurturing and attention, but that is just no longer the home environment I can provide. He would do well in a home with no children and no other animals with someone who can be home with him such as someone who works remotely or a retiree. Great snuggler. Loves contact naps. Due to his age, he needs regular restroom breaks. The adoption fee is negotiable with a strong character references.

Story
We got Rosie from craigslist and shes a great dog, to my knowledge she is around 3 years old. Rosie in unaltered and has a lot of energy when she’s outside. Once shes comfortable, shes running around and happy as can be. She loves to cuddle and she is crate trained. If she’s introduced to a new dog she’s great but one time when we were feeding her and our friend’s dog she nipped at the other dog.
