Story
Finnegan is an approximately 9-year-old, 30-pound bundle of love with a DNA mix of Dachshund, Chihuahua, and Poodle—though we think he’s 100% adorable! This charming boy is looking for a special someone to share his life with. Finnegan recently had cataract surgery and he’ll need daily eye drops for life.  He also gets a once a month injection for Addison’s disease, which is caused by a deficiency in steroid hormones. But don’t worry, he’s a champ with his care routine and can live a normal life. Finnegan is incredibly affectionate and thrives on companionship. He loves people and enjoys being near you, though he takes a little longer to warm up to men. He’s a devoted little buddy who will follow you around and make every day brighter just by being by your side. He’s not suited for apartment living and may bark when left alone, so he’d do best in a quiet, single-family home with someone who works from home or is around most of the time. Finnegan can get overwhelmed on busy walks, especially with lots of people and noise, so he needs a calm, confident leader who can help him feel safe and avoid stressful situations. To help with this transition, we’ll provide professional training support upon adoption. Finnegan gets along well with other small, calm dogs and can even live peacefully with cats. He’s ready to find a home where he can relax, feel secure, and shower his person with unconditional love. Could you be the one to give Finnegan the forever home he’s been waiting for? If you are interested in meeting Finnegan please complete the adoption application on our website, www.greatpets.org. Once your application is received and reviewed you will be contacted to discuss if Finnigan would be a good fit for you. Finnegan's $250 adoption donation includes his vet exam, vaccinations, blood work, cataract surgery, microchip and fecal exam.October 22, 2025, 4:59 pm

Rosy is a sweet girl who has been thru a lot in her life. People have let her down over and over so this time we will make sure her new family knows all about her, has experience with dogs and will love her forever and ever. Rosy would do best as an only dog or with a large very calm dog. Once she bonds she will become your shadow so someone who is home most of the time is preferred. Sorry no kiddos for Rosy. She is a great walking companion and loves playing fetch so a yard is a must. He’s good with other dogs he prefers his size. He’s approximately 20 pounds  He is vaccinated, neutered, and ready for adoption. We are not looking to place in a home with young kids. Dodger came from a dark past as he was born in Mexico, and is the only surviving pup of his litter after his mom rejected all the puppies after she birthed them.  We are so thankful  to our friends at Crossing Guardians for rescuing him because Dodger is the happiest, most affectionate boy. He’s dog-friendly and cat-friendly too!  Dodger would thrive best in a calm environment as his temperament is more suited to a quieter setting. The fast movements and noise associated with children might not be the best match for him.  Apply to meet Dodger at https://www.muttsinneed.org/adoption-application.htmlFebruary 21, 2025, 7:48 pm
