Story
Scooby is a 5 year old Dachshund Bully mix weighing approximately 35 pounds. He was surrendered when his owner lost her job and was forced to move in with relatives. You can see the sadness in his eyes ☹. He is very timid and laid back, complacent and mellow. Needless to say, he is very depressed and won’t even eat (not even treats). His adoption donation is $250 which includes his neuter, vaccinations, microchip. He is heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. Please help him to feel loved again. https://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/store/p169/Scooby_Doo.html

Story
This is Randy. I adopted him in 2012 when he was 1. He was abused by his first owner. Randy was my best buddy but then I had kids and am a single mom which has made it really hard to give him the attention he needs. He just loves to love one person and will be attached to you if you let him. He doesn’t love other dogs specifically when he sees them walking outside. Thank you for considering Randy.

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Madison, aka Maddie, is an approx. 2yo, 10 1/2-lb. spunky little doxie mix who gets along well with other dogs, kids and adults. We have not seen her around cats. She walks pretty well on a leash with just a bit of pulling, but she corrects easily. Crate training is a work in progress. She sleeps well through the night in the human bed - she wants to be where the other dogs and people are. She rides well in a car tethered in for safety. Maddie is house trained and will go through a doggie door to relieve herself. She loves to play fetch with tennis balls and will play keep away with the other dogs. She loves stuffies but can't have them because she tends to pull the stuffing out. Harder toys are more her style. She is a medium-to-high energy girl and gets the zoomies with her foster fur sibling, so for that reason we are preferring she have a fenced yard. But she also knows how to chill and become a little cuddle bug. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Madison, complete and app and tell us more about you.May 29, 2026, 11:52 pm

Story
Hi, I’m Strudel… yes, like the pastry and just as delightful! I’m a 9-month-old Dachshund/Chihuahua blend, weighing in at just 8 lbs. Don’t let my size fool you; I’ve got a big personality packed into this little body. I’m inquisitive, confident and always ready to explore something new or jump into playtime. When the day winds down, I love to burrow in close and snuggle up right under the covers with my people. I’m affectionate, full of kisses and happiest being part of whatever you’re doing whether it’s an adventure or a quiet moment together.  Favorite Things: Strudel thrives on play and interaction. Stuffed toys are her absolute favorite. She loves to carry them around, toss them and engage with her furry friends. She enjoys bursts of activity, exploring her surroundings and staying busy. Treats are a big motivator, making training and bonding time especially fun and rewarding.  Training and Manners: Strudel is currently working on her house-training and is making steady progress with consistency, frequent breaks and positive reinforcement. She’s quick to learn and has already picked up the flow of her environment. While she walks on a leash, she’s still building confidence and will benefit from continued practice. She has good basic manners, settles well in the home and sleeps comfortably in the people bed at night. Health and Care: She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines. Like all dogs, she will just need monthly heart worm and flea/tick preventives. Strudel will benefit from regular brushing and basic grooming to keep her looking her best.  Other Animals: Strudel does well with other pets and enjoys playful, small dog companions. She has also lived comfortably with cats and adapts well with proper introductions. Children: Due to her size, Strudel is best suited for a home with older children (8+) who understand how to interact thoughtfully with her. Ideal Home: Strudel would do well in an apartment, townhome or condo where she has opportunities to stay active and engaged. She prefers having someone home more often, as she truly enjoys companionship and being included in everyday routines. Because of her petite build and her love to explore, she’ll do best in a home that is mindful about open doors, secure exits and overall safety. She’s an adventurous little pup who benefits from guidance and structure as she continues to grow. Overall: Strudel is a bright, loving little dog with a playful spirit and a big personality packed into a tiny frame. She brings energy, curiosity and plenty of affection to every day; like a little treat you didn’t know you needed. With a bit of continued guidance and a home that keeps her engaged and included, Strudel will blossom into a devoted companion full of charm. If you think Strudel might be the perfect treat for your home, please visit www.poodleandpoochrescue.org to submit an adoption application. If it looks like a good fit, her foster family will reach out with more information. Her adoption donation is $650. ##2718842##

Story
Hi! I’m Charla! I'm an 8-lb Chihuahua - Dachshund (Chiweenie) blend and I'm only 9 months old. I can be shy when we first meet, but don't let that fool you: I'm just a sweet snuggle bug who is looking for the person who will love me forever.   Favorite Things: All Charla wants is to be near her human or a dog friend as much as possible. She particularly loves being held like a baby and will fall asleep in your arms. She also loves snacks and will eat her food extremely fast. She also enjoys playing fetch and will bring toys back... most of the time. Can be quiet and shy when first meet but will accepts all the love after she’s familiar.  Training & Manners: Charla is a quick study and is already housetrained if let out frequently. She needs a bit more practice walking on a leash: she'll walk well for a while will sit down if tired and will roll in grass a lot. Other than that, she is a good passenger on car rides and sleeps in her dog bed at night.  Health & Care: Charla is a healthy girl who just needs the flea and tick preventatives that any dog needs. She is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She shouldn't need too much elaborate grooming, either. Other Animals: Charla gets along well with other dogs of all shapes and sizes! In fact, she prefers having another canine companion around if her people have to leave the house. We don't know how she'd do around cats, though.  Children: Charla hasn't been observed around children yet, but her foster reckons she'd do well with kind, understanding, older children (ages 8+). Ideal Home: This sweet, quiet girl would do well most anywhere, be that a condo, apartment, or single-family home. She is very quiet inside the house but will bark if her human is out of sight initially and then she will calm down. Overall: Has charming Charla stolen your heart? If you think she might be your perfect match, please visit www.poodleandpoochrescue.org to submit an adoption application. If it looks like a good fit, her foster family will reach out with more information. Her adoption donation is $500. ##2718837##
